We should have stock in a day or so

So upon torquing my header to 35 ft lbs, I have an exhaust leak on the upper part of the JDL overpipe and JDL header connection. Not sure how to flatten this out or if its warped. Using a Grimmspeed gasket as well.

If you loosen and re torque the head flange bolts you should also do the same for the over pipe. Make sure everything is aligned including the gasket

I loosened it up and re-tightened. I noticed it was leaking previously due to the black soot on the top part of the gasket. I may try to just completely remove the overpipe and line it up again.

Grimmspeed gaskets are MUCH better quality than OEM gaskets. If you have an exhaust leak, they may help with fixing the leak.

They're a lot thicker and you can see the quality difference in them. They should last over the years as well.

Think I'll be getting back under the car again today after work. I'm not convinced my overpipe is fully sealed to the header as I could feel a small gap with my finger even after tightening. I'll try to push up more on the overpipe before tightening to see if I can close that gap and end the small leak. I did torque the header to 35 ft lbs though starting with the front nut on the passenger side first, working my way back, then moving to the driver side. There was some soot around the flange on the overpipe I rubbed off and the top part along with the gasket. I'll try to get it as flat as I can against the header before tightening.

Thank you! We have 2 coated ones coming back in the next day or so instock. We will have uncoated ones by the end of the week in stock. I prefer the UEL over the EL in just about any application just by the sound alone. Let me know if you have any other questins!

Got the headers installed and the overpipe in. Just starting the front pipe installation although i'm noticing the side the connects to my Perrin catback (where the donut gasket goes) the OD of the front pipe where the donut gasket goes is bigger then donut ID. What donut gasket am i supposed to use here?
