deep low rumble

I don't want an obnoxious exhaust. I want something that is similar in sound to the TRD exhaust. A low deep rumble when I rev the engine past 5K.

I was looking into the Perrin catback exhuast. How's this sound?

Any other ones out there that matches what I'm looking for?

If you want the real rumble, might want to consider a header. Otherwise the Perrin is a good option for a catback that is not too loud

I have a 3" Perrin Exhaust, 3" Front Pipe, and a 2.5" Overpipe. Its loud - in a cold start in the Winter in particular- but I don't find it obnoxious, nor have my neighbors complained. When it was fall, it wasn't loud at all until I gave it some throttle.

I don't know how it compares to the TRD, but I find it to be a nice sound, as have several of my neighbors.

You might look into a nameless axle back muffler. With the 2.5" piping and 5" mufflers ..... it makes a nice sound.

humfrz - it works for my ears

If you're wanting something close to TRD a UEL header would be the best bet or an axle back nameless/greddy have some nice options.
I'm running a muffler delete and it has a real nice sound IMO but it maybe too loud for you

You'd have to ask the installer how. As to why, I thought it was strange as well, but at the time Perrin wasn't making a 3" overpipe.

You need a canister muffler design with a LOT of resonators to get the low deep rumble. The N1 is as low and deep as it gets, but its also pretty loud.

I thought the Perrin non-resonated was pretty good with the stock header and produced a good sound throughout the RPM band.

I recently added an EL header and now I'm thinking of changing to an UEL because I don't think there is a way to get a decent deep sound using the EL header. The car sounds like a chainsaw.
