deep low rumble
I don't want an obnoxious exhaust. I want something that is similar in sound to the TRD exhaust. A low deep rumble when I rev the engine past 5K.
I was looking into the Perrin catback exhuast. How's this sound? Any other ones out there that matches what I'm looking for? |

If you want the real rumble, might want to consider a header. Otherwise the Perrin is a good option for a catback that is not too loud

I have a 3" Perrin Exhaust, 3" Front Pipe, and a 2.5" Overpipe. Its loud - in a cold start in the Winter in particular- but I don't find it obnoxious, nor have my neighbors complained. When it was fall, it wasn't loud at all until I gave it some throttle.
I don't know how it compares to the TRD, but I find it to be a nice sound, as have several of my neighbors. |

If you're wanting something close to TRD a UEL header would be the best bet or an axle back nameless/greddy have some nice options.
I'm running a muffler delete and it has a real nice sound IMO but it maybe too loud for you |

You need a canister muffler design with a LOT of resonators to get the low deep rumble. The N1 is as low and deep as it gets, but its also pretty loud.

I thought the Perrin non-resonated was pretty good with the stock header and produced a good sound throughout the RPM band.
I recently added an EL header and now I'm thinking of changing to an UEL because I don't think there is a way to get a decent deep sound using the EL header. The car sounds like a chainsaw.
