Thanks for posting such a positive thread! I feel very much the same about my FR-S. I look forward to each time I drive and every time I look at the car it brings a smile to my face. Although I've only owned this car for 3 weeks, I have to say that hands down, it is the most fun car I've ever owned, and I've been driving for 39 years!

More driving, less whining!

If I had room in my signature I would add this.

Thanks for the great review!

Thanks for this. Thank you for bringing everyone back on point. The love of our cars. While I know that the forum is multifaceted, I for one would prefer to read more stories like this and not whining and complaining or arguing.

Loved your post on the one year anniversary. I feel the same way. I ve owned "faster" cars but this is a back to basics sports car that I knew I had to have when it came out.

What header did you go with?

The OpenFlash Header... It's a UEL design and it lets the FA20 breathe as it should be. It gives the engine a proper Subaru rumble.

That is 25 brake/wheel horse power. At the crank it's probably 30-35.

Either way, it was money well spent. The car sounds like a proper sports car now. Every morning when I walk outside and sit in my car and hit the key.. and my baby rumbles to life with a nice staccato burble - it puts me in a good mood.

Some folks don't like the way a cold start sounds. For me it is bliss. When an engine is cold it almost sounds angry. Angry like I woke it up to early. But after a few minutes she is warm and willing... sorta like my wife. Sometimes.

Couldn't be happier to read something like this. After owning "sports" cars for year its feels fantastic to finally be in a real sports car.
