some stupid lady hit my FRS =(

its just been almost 3 months since i had this car, and some lady hit my car on the driver side quarter panel right above the tire. i was driving home 2 nights ago and theres a 3 lane street we were all driving straight towards the same direction. i was the car in the middle, driving about 20 mph and this lady she was on the left lane and someone in front of her was turning so she cuts in front of me. meanwhile theres barely any space only like 1 car space away and she ends up hitting rear driverside quarter panel above the tire. the dent is small maybe the size of a fist but it wasnt deep just a minor dent. i know i had the right of way and she insisted on cutting me off maybe i should of honked but i assumed she was smart. anyways i didnt call the cops because of the premium but i forced her to give me so me cash wasnt much but whatever. lesson learn is watch out for those dumb fucktard drivers out here, lol i live in nyc so its more of them here. i was happy it was minor anyways. she was also driving a toyota rav4 shame on her but i know karma will get her hers and she said she has a baby and i assume she drives like that oooh praise the loooooooorrd .anyways...i got it fixed up by myself using some pops a dent thing they sell at autozone. the finishing looks pretty good just have to repeat the touchups. and does anyone know how i can remove the rivets for the underskirt of the quarter panel.

Maybe you shouldn't be driving right next to somebody/in their blind spot.

Leave room. Otherwise, you're just asking for trouble.

I'm a bit confused. How did she cut in front of you with a car's length between you and the vehicle in front of her, and end up hitting the rear quarter panel while you were going 20 mph?

It sounds like you had time to think about honking, but concluded that she "was smart" and therefore didn't honk...or break in the time (at 20 mph?) that you were deciding all of this.

I had someone start merging into my lane the other day - going right into my car as I was level with/about to pass their vehicle. They corrected quickly after realizing that they didn't check their blind spot because I honked at them - that's what these tools are for, not for letting someone know you're pissed off at them, or other shenanigans - use them if you're in danger of getting into an accident.

You didn't call the police, and "forced her to" give you cash without handling it properly despite you believing her to be at fault?

Anyway, I'm sorry to hear about your experience as no one wants to be in that sort of situation - I hope you're "pops a dent thing" works out.

i mean she attempted to switch lanes meanwhile theres only about a car space in front of me between the next car ahead. i think a good driver wouldn't take the chance to fit in that little gap between me and the car ahead.

I don't understand your insurance premium part. If she was at fault you should not pay for anything, nor will affect your driving record. Now you are stuck trying to repair your car with an Autozone kit and doing touchup work that the pros could have done for no charge to you.

So... other driver, who had a kid and was possibly distracted in her car, is a "dumb fucktard".

Meanwhile, you chose to not go through insurance (even though, according to your post, she was at fault), and you got "some cash wasnt much but whatever"?

Tell me, how's that DIY repair working out for you?

so you saw her trying to cut in but you decided not to honk or slow down... and instead of slowing down to let her move in when you saw her coming, you just let her hit you?

I'm still confused how someone trying to cut in in front of him caused him to get hit in the driver's side rear quarterpanel...
