Lady backed into my FRS

Some old lady didnt see my car behind her and hit my rear bumper.

Now my questions

How easy is to match the paint (pearl white)?
Can body shop get the bumper fast?
Do they have to replace diffuser too?

Please help and attach is a picName: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1354934637.852336.jpg

Dont worry too much. It may take a week or two for the bumper. A good body shop can actually match paint better than the factory bumpers as factory bumpers are sprayed seperate from the car. They will also likely replace the diffuser if it is deformed or cracked. Try and keep in mind the bumper is just a giant piece of plastic nothing high tech

They will not replace the bumper. They will repair that one. Should be a easy repair with the plastic bumper being heated up and molded back into shape.

If it is, then you complain to the insurance company to fix it until it looks like it never happened.

"pre wreck condition" is the phrase insurance companies use to get you to hire them, hold them to it. If it's noticeable then it obviously falls outside of their own parameters.

Damn... a lot of these have been magnets for damage over the past couple of days. I'd say if it gets repaired and looks any different than the factory paint, take it back or talk to the insurance company and try and get a different shop if possible.

I have had a couple cars that have received plastic bumper damage and they have just been repaired. The repair shop said they preferred that over replacing. I do not know why.
Most cars now (BRZ & FR-S included) have vin# stickers on every body part. If you replace anything it will be readily apparent to anyone who checks for such things.

The Diffuser and the Bumper are all one piece. There is no seperation on it, looks seperate, but when looked at closely there is no seperation gap.

I don't know of any insurance company that would pay a second shop to correct a repair job that they had already paid the first shop to do. They would probably try to influence the shop to do it again and get it right. Insurance companies that are smart allow the owner of the car to determine where they want the car fixed. That way there is no implied warranty from the insurance company. It's all up to the shop and the owner of the car to work it out. Like I said, when they can, insurance companies will try and convince the shops to make it right but they have no real ramifications as they're not the customer getting a sloppy repair job.

Thats too much damage along with clips for the shop to spend the time on the labor to heat it up to get it back to shape. I just had damage to the rear of my car in near the same spot. And it was much less damage than that and it was replaced.
