The vol. efficiency is increasing in the 5000-6400 zone which causes more torque there but the vol. efficiency drops off sooner than stock. Luckily the boost in vol. efficiency is so good that it prevents the torque from ever going below the stock curve.

Look at where the torque starts dropping off for both runner lengths. Crawford's may make more peak torque but it starts to drop off sooner than a stock torque curve.

As for low end power, it is indeed a little odd that there is no change there.

Can't wait to see nelsmar's tests!

Also note that the OEM rom shifts intake cam angle at that RPM too. So the real question is what happens after I tune the car? :P

Here is my cam profile for my NA car (stock header) basemap vs the OEM rom:

I'll wait for the GrimmSpeed Phenolic Spacers, which will probably be the same thing but not cost $400.

Me too, granted we do have a plastic manifold so it shouldnt conduct heat like the old metal manifolds. I put those in my sti and it was a night and day difference in temperature to the touch.

I have been able to make decent gains ay 6800+ if i could shift that a few hundred RPM to the left... and up? That could be quite desirable.

Let me put it this way... Crawford offered for me to drive down and use their dyno just for R&D testing. If they want to back their product up that bad I am extremely interested.

Ill be doing these dynos:
Stock vs Tuned
Stock + Blocks vs Stock
Stock + Blocks vs Tuned + Blocks
And when do you plan on doing this?

Where was it confirmed that they will be producing this part?

It is not, I just know they make them for other cars and I'm extrapolating.

Been watching the thread. Though I'm extremely skeptical like the rest, I do hope for more easy power with just NA bolt-ons. Hope it works out positively for our platform.

I was told the spacers should be shipped out tomorrow most likely, i'll likely receive them ~tuesday I would assume. I will either be organizing a drive down to Crawford to meet with them or doing some baseline numbers on a local dyno to do some comparisons with light tuning. Ill likely throw the test car (unless another local steps up and wants to be a test car) on the dyno tomorrow if I can and get OEM baseline #'s vs a "mild" tune for comparison in the event I end up just re-dyoing locally. Hopefully I can work it into my schedule and go down and actually meet with the Crawford staff since they offered the loan me the dyno for testing.

I should have some results within 1-2 weeks from now! And some mid progress results in the middle somewhere!
