Can you stagger this tire combo?
Okay so I'm trying to figure out a tire combination for when I go F/I
I'm thinking about 275/35/18 or 265/35/18 for the rear and 245/40/18 for the front. The problem is, the profiles don't match 35 & 40, will this affect much or its possible to do this? The lowest I can get in a 245 for Michelin PSS is 40 and I don't want to go into a 255 for the front.. So the question is, will the 5 difference affect anything?

Perfect! So mixing a 275/35/18 with a 245/40/18 only has 1.8% difference and 0.07", so I guess the answer would be that no, it shouldn't really affect anythng

The stock tire is 24.62 inches in diameter. By going to a 245/40-18 you're adding over an inch to your tire diameter. A 245/35 and 285/30 would be a lot closer to the stock diameter, but I have no idea if you could actually fit 285s in the rear.

I'm not quite sure what you're trying to tell me, I was pretty much just asking how if it would be quite a bit higher at the front end compared to the back and if it would affect anything, I'm not sure if a 285 would fit but I was told a 275 should as long as I have coilovers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

As mentioned, tires are too tall! Should consider 245/35-18 front and 265/35-18 rear. Rears would still be a bit taller than stock, but not absurdly so. 245/35-18 is defnitely a btter choice up front than 245/40-18.

They don't make Michelin PSS in 245/35-18 only 40 and up, but I'm kind of set in stone with Michelin PSS Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

There is also 1010tires for Canada, or KXwheels (both Canadian websites)
But REALLY, 275 section tires in the rear? Why is that? The Z06 has 275's in the rear. The new model sting-ray went with 255's. 265's or less for Porsche's in the rear.... (point being made, these are are true sports/high HP cars) How much power are you aiming for with your FI goals?

Base C6 and the new Stingray have 285 rears, 245 fronts. C6 Z06 had 325 rears and 275 fronts!
Porsche 911 S (non-turbo) has 295 rears, 245 fronts. |

Someone with 255's and 420whp was able to smoke the tires up in third gear for a 60mph pull, and another still had pretty bad traction issues with 265's and 480whp, I might settle for 265's Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
