I put about 10.5 gallons of e85 in, so about 2.5 gallons of gasoline.

That makes sense. Your E85 is probably a bit lower than 85% ethanol this time of year in your location. So the actual ethanol content in your tank may be as low as E60 which is why it's taking a bit more time for LTFT to increment upwards. Might only need to drop 1-2% before you hit the desired AFR target. Until then, you may be down 3-5whp. Totally safe as is though. Absolutely no sign of knock. You may feel a bit more power with the next fill up. After than and a bit of driving, take another log and post it up

I am so excited to get my tax return and an oft. How awesome is it to have someone like shiv who can take the time to check out everyone's logs and see what's going on. Awesome support. Can't wait to get the header tablet combo!!!

@shiv@vishnu is there a solution for this

here is log from third tank

The logs look great. No knock. Good AFR. Everything is solid. As for the cold start, I think that is going to be an issue depending on conditions and fuel formulation. Others have posted revised cold start cranking table values which have helped people who were having a similar experience as you. Anyone know where that thread is again?

To be fair, ongoing data log review isn't really an official part of our post-sales support. So don't thank me excessively. But with datazap.me it's easy and quick to do. So when time permits, I'm happy to throw in my 2c

Couple questions regarding oil and e85:
How often do I have to change it?
Can I run either Royal Purple synthetic 0w20 or genuine Subaru oil?

When running E85 exclusively (or very frequently), I usually change oil twice as frequently. So every 2.5-3k or thereabouts. Royal Purple synthetic (or Motul/Redline/Amsoil) is all good stuff. Most of it is really overkill for an non-turbo engine though.

I just changed mine today with about 1/2 e85 use and 7500 miles and it was blacker than I expected. It was still very viscous and seemed fairly clean. Not as much drained out as I expected though. I think I will be cutting back my change intervals some to accomodate.

Not nearly as bad as the "changes" we were doing for my mom's Grand Caravan towards the end of its life. We were taking 5,000 mile oil out of my Wrangler (that was coming out golden amber) and just pouring it in the van (without changing the filter or draining any oil).

hi @shiv@vishnu - I have been searching but can't find any post where you explain your recommended sequence of events for switching to e85 and then back

I have read several people run it down 20-30m past fuel light, then add 2 gallons, but others just add a full tank? And then when to flash? Also, what about when going back to 93? Finally, what specifically to look for in datalogs to make sure things aren't out of hand

Would be great if you could outline this.

I'm a little confused on this. I don't have my headers yet but I wanna run e85. Do I need to go on my laptop and load the e85 map on my tablet because I don't think I'm supposed to flash any of the stage 2 maps and those are the only ones that came with the tablet. Anyone?

Use the EL Stage 2 E85 tune for e85 with the stock header.

Is it possible to change the cold start idle speed on the Stg2 E85 maps?

I saw some posts about changing values in the MAF and timing tables via RomRaider in order to do so, but I'm pretty sure they only apply to gasoline.
