FWIW, I've found this car difficult to launch consistently. With header and tune, my best 0-60 was 5.68. My next try was 6.1 and I thought one felt quicker! Wheel spin is a problem unless u let it spin all the way thru first gear and hit second gear just right. Abusive at best.

What were you using to tell the time?

I have done that too and i swear the slower ones felt quicker, even my buddy in a 135i had times all over the place.

That was using torque which i dont trust at ALL.

5.6 is very good if its a true number.

I hear you, My only problem is that on my daily commute, the max speed limit is 40mph. 35 most of the way. I would be speeding in 2nd gear if I were to try to condition the batteries where I live. I would have to go out of my way with 5 to 6 hours of driving to get them conditioned properly.

Yeah me too. I want the OFH OFT combo but I really wish shiv would post dynos. E85 and pump would be nice.

5.68. That's what I want to hear.

Using torque more wheelspin = faster time. I dunno if that's the case at a drag strip as I've never been on one.

Fred, could you list all your engine/exhaust mods?

I already posted dyno results with the TQ250 and TQ300 coupled with OFH and single dump packs. I will be dyno testing again next week now that the dual dump backs (and aux charger) is installed. Just waiting on a package from Rob which is en route

E85 maps will follow shortly thereafter as well!

I had a ecutek tune plus p& l header. 28 lbs in rear tire nothing in trunk. Used torque. Car was quick. Launched at 4500. Ran it along side friends focus st. Almost always had half car length on him.

We have good 1/2 mile "area" where we "time" bikes and cars. Best time with stock frs was 6.4. Header and tune allowed me to launch a little lower rpm. Car will actually feel slower with power band unkinked but is faster.

Hand timed, torque timed 1/4 mile was 14.3 at 97. Speed verified with radar gun.

I found that best launch requires tires with roughly half tread. Car is also noticeably faster once fuel gage shows 1/4 tank. I don't think this is due purely to weight. Feels to me as if car runs leaner at this point. Imo difference is too substantial.

Shiv, I think what most of us are looking for is a dyno done with and without the OFH using the OFT. Back to back so we get the results off the same dyno. That will be my determining factor to weather or not I feel a header would be worth the cost on top of the ESC.

I was under the impression that the back to back were in the works.

I would need to dyno a completely stock car in order to get a stock header+ESC dyno results. Even Sojhinn's car had a cat-less front pipe. But even so, the OFH+ESC dyno had a better power curve. Especially up top. I expect the delta to be even great when compared to a vehicle with a completely stock exhaust. But expectations are just expectations so I won't know for sure until I get to a dyno an otherwise stock car with the ESC

I don't think I'm going to be reinstalling the stock header in our car in the foreseeable future.
