If you don't find leaks from any of the pipes, check your coolant cap there is a small hole for overflow if you notice coolant leaking from the cap, you could have a cooler leak, which is caused from seals in the core and boost , causing leak into the manifold. Best way to test is to put the car on a dyno and do a load run, the coolant rises in the bottle and leaks out the cap. Trace this ASAP as you don't want coolant going into the manifold, my valves were caked in dry white coolant. |

I don't think thats my problem but i'm just trying to prepare ahead of time in case I pull the direct injectors and the seals are ok. Basically what is happening on the dyno is its breaking up/misfiring right around 5200 rpm. I could hear it from in the waiting room lol. Starts pulling smooth then just sounds like gunfire. I replaced the spark plugs and that wasn't it. Now onto the DI seals. I wish I would have remembered to check the coolant bottle while it was on the dyno to see if the coolant level would rise, but I don't think i'm having this issue as I didn't smell coolant or anything after it came off the dyno (I also was looking around at the bay too) |

Ok, so 10 bucks says your DI seals and everything else is fine.
Phones have been crazy and email box is filling with dyno plots that look like the attached (mostly from other tuners but some of ours as well). Seems that this is a very common issue intercooled. We're working on this now and should have a fix soon. |

Any word on when the update might be coming? Not that I really care, but my gas mileage sucks now. I just took a 300mi trip (600mi round trip), and I averaged 25mpg. This was all highway, where I used to get 33+mpg. Around town, I'm getting 16mpg. I also threw a CEL for my first time, during a cold startup (aprox 50F). P0171, lean condition. I cleared the code, and monitored my AFRs closely. It must've been something at startup only, because I am definitely not running lean. I've also been getting the occasional traction light and ABS lights coming on. It clears itself after I restart the car. It's only happened a few times (usually when I'm just idling for a while)...more of a nuisance than anything else. |

I realize that. But, I was out in the middle of nowhere, 300mi from home. I shut the car off and monitored my AFRs closely after I restarted it. My AFR numbers never seemed to run lean after that incident.
Thanks for the info though. I should really log this with Bill, so he's aware also. |
