But it was clearly coming from the inside, more like a whiiiizzzzz sounds, not a fuuuuuuushhhhhh from a mini wind whistle

Oh shoot you're right. Well I have no idea what it is then. I think it might be the sound tube?

Could, does it sounds like an induction noise ?

Yes. Exactly like a turbo or supercharger would make. Only quieter

Could really be the induction noise ported in the cabin. Block the hole using the 12v plug in the glovebox. I believe the induction tube open in the pedals area although I'm not 100% positive !

Its the differential likely you're hearing. It really becomes amplified when you install a Perrin T tranny mount or other tranny support mods. Even with stock carrier I could hear it. Its faint and like a whine...and most noticeable around 67-74mph

Perhaps changing fluids could smoothen that noise ?

serious question: does your car have a clear bra on the mirrors?

Somewhat yes I changed to redline MTL and it did help. I also went from a Perrin T mount to a Whiteline Mount and it helped immensely almost back to stock nvh level. That's why my guess is strong with that, however if OP is on stock tranny mount then yes fluids help "abit" but this car inherently does transmit some nvh from diff I've hear it on several of other club members cars to. Past that you can use mlv on tranny tunnel and trunk area, that was huge decrease in cabin noise overall for me.

I really don't think it's my diff. On my way to the gas station, the whistling noise was horrible. But as soon as I started up the car again, it was gone. Should I be worried?

Also it seems to be coming from the right side of the car

Could you explain this?

I noticed on Saturday that there's some weird wind noise as I hit 70. I've had some bad buffeting for a while thanks to an attempted break in, but now it sounds like there's a break in the seal between the window and the gasket. It's a constant low-pitched hollow sounding wind noise.

So the whistling sound returned this morning. It gets louder and quieter as the RPMs rise and drop. Dealer says they won't fix it until it becomes a daily, recurring problem. It's quite annoying

Weird. I have the "whistling" sound at ~70mph on the freeway and was told it was the differential. Never heard it at low speeds before.
