This actually makes me excited to see what Honda and Mazda have in store. They can't let this kind of thing simply pass them by.

Hear! Hear! I completely totally 110% wholeheartedly agree!

The Camry is on every corner. Imagine a world where each of those was an FRS/BRZ. Wouldn't that be a better world?

It's not about exclusivity. It's about driving fun and sharing the experience with friends.

Nice way to sum it up

These things should be very affordable to purchase, maintain, and modify with such available production capacity (whether it is required long-term, who knows).

I don't think anyone believes they are going to sell in 'Stang/Camaro numbers, but they will not be scarce.

I'm probably going to cancel my order and wait to see what special editions come down the pike in future model years. I'm in no rush to pay MSRP to be an early adopter only to yearn after whatever special editions are produced in a year or so.

Queue up (and apologies to) Louis Armstrong please...

I see an FR-S of white*... red BRZs too
I see em drift... for me and for you
And I think to myself ... what a wonderful world.

I see GT-86 of blue... some of white
Bright blessed HIDs in dark sacred night.
And I think to myself ... what a wonderful world.

The colors of a rainbow.. so pretty in the sky
Are also on the displays of the Bespokes going by
I see owners shaking hands.. sayin... how do you do
They're really saying.. I love my car too.

I hear tires screeching... I watch them go
They'll burn out more.. than I'll ever know
And I think to myself... what a wonderful world.

Pretty sure I called this out in the other thread that said there would be limited numbers. If there is demand they'll make more. It is a business after all?

Definitely good news. Now, I am going to be more likely to wait for gently used ones with lots of warranty left over to show up so I can save a good chunk of cash over buying new.

A limited BRZ in SWP for less than the cost of a premium sounds pretty awesome to me. Just spend the rest on winter tires and aftermarket goodies.

Fascinating news; that's double the initial Gunma Press release statement. I hope the platform is successful, however I also hope they don't over-build & over-saturate the market and burn out demand and re-sale value.

No way will they be making 100k a year world wide. The pricing is still too high for that.

50k a year max world wide.

In the states 12k a year max for the FR-S and 8k a year max for the BRZ.

Now I could be wrong if they price this car...$21k for the FR-S and $23K for the BRZ limited. All bets are off then...

Think about it it...they don't even sell that many Scion tC a year...or Miata's....or Genesis Coupes....Honda Civic coupes....Sure the FR-S\BRZ is going to be hot, but not 100k a year units hot.
