You are right I didnt mean track cars, I meant tracked 86s. Not saying anything against turbos, it's just my understanding that most full time track 86s are SC.

Personally, I like turbos. If I were to go supercharger, it would be a twin-screw.. but I feel like I would never be satisfied with the top end.

You might as well say that we should all be running open exhausts, race fuel, v8/v6, etc. |

Competitive racing tends to involve a lot of that, yes. I held a A racing license in Japan for for nearly 10 years.

I thought I read somewhere the issues with tracking turbo cars vs. supercharged cars is the much higher EGT's you'll get with the turbo setup?
Regardless of the difference in power delivery on turbo vs. S/C, for a track application, what are the benefits/downfalls of a turbo? am I right on the EGT issue? @CSG Mike ?

Wouldn't another reason why people get superchargers are to pass emissions?
At least that's one of the main reasons why I'm considering a SC. Unless there's a way to pass emissions with a turbo lol please let me know lol I live in Tennessee |

And why do people go turbo instead of something like an LS swap? Cheap and reliable and the fa20 will bring you in a couple thousand back.
All kind of ways to make your car go fast.
