No problem folks, I was getting worried you weren't going to see this post.

Also, thank you, that's appreciated! I must say that I would tend to agree with you

If you haven't done it already - step on the brakes HARD. The bottom portion of pedal travel should feel markedly different.

Exactly this. The last 25% or so is much different

Chase, I did want to ask you a question. So, I have an AT and have been told and seen proof from others that I'll need to relocated a bracket and harness. Do you have any suggestions besides removing the bracket and tie-wrapping the harness to another one for the part to fit properly? Is there anything in the works for an updated part for an AT FR-S? If so, I'd be happy to test it for you guys.

Thoughts?

Thank you!

I have an AT and installed the Perrin MC brace. There isn't a bracket that needs relocating, but the AT control wiring harness has some retention straps that run through there with a mount. Just zip tie the harness wiring (it's a wire routing loom) to the MC brace and you are fine.

And for me it was a night and day difference - the "dead zone" on the pedal before braking is applied is reduced to about 1mm of pedal travel vs. about 3mm w/o the brace. This is on any brake force, even light pressure. Probably the best "feel" mod I have done on any car. The brace on my STi didn't have nearly the same effect, and the brakes on the STi with stainless lines feel positively spongy compared to my FR-S.

What class are you running? If you ran with the SCCA, the MCB is either illegal to use or should bump you into some mod class. jw

We don't really have a different solution for AT owners in the works. We recommend zip tieing the harness to the MCB (or something else chassis mounted), or if you can find a place to relocate the retention strap. It should also be possible to ziptie the retention strap itself to the MCB, or drill a hole in it, and add a bolt to the retention strap. It's alright to get creative here, but at the same time it might be alright to leave it out all together.
