the frs would move in any way you moved your foot. it was extremely loose and pushing the clips in and greasing them up did nothing. It was as if the holes were drilled incorrectly or something and the clips would just move around. if you pressed down on the top it would click then it would click again as it went back down and you could move it slightly to the right too and the carpet would shift with it. It was all kinds of messed up. My brz now though is as solid as can be

Reviving a dead thread here. Anyone come up with a fix or a least way to take this piece off. I would also like to know if anyone using the wethertech floor mats experience this issue since the pics show to cover it up somewhat.

UPDATE: Sprayed WD-40 in the upper clip hole and lower clip hole and the pops arent noticeable anymore.The plate still moves but I cant hear it. Idk how long it will last but only time will tell. Id still like to know if anyone using weather floor mats notice this issue or not.
