How would you go about in setting up multiple GPUs? Two GPUs mining different pools? Two different workers? Two GPUs mining for the same pool?

I believe it is for simplicity. Not a lot of action needed to collect BTC.

If you monitor what coins are most profitable, you can make more money than Hashcows would for you. The issue with that is you have to be somewhat active in choosing what you will mine and making sure you have a wallet set up in that coin. Then, you have to worry about exchanging that coin for BTC.

I shouldn't have a problem using SSH & Putty to control a miner running Xubuntu if my main computer is running Win7 should I?

How can I tell if my motherboard needs powered or non-powered risers? This is my board.

I'm hashing that right now. We'll see how it goes.

Maybe I was spoiled with hashcow, but I like how you can check your hash rate by just visiting their website. I have to remotely login to my mining box if I mine a different pool.

So I'll have 2 280x GPUs by tonight. How do I set up cgminer to mine GPU 1 to pool A and GPU 2 to pool B? Do I run 2 cgminer instances? Thinking of running 2 different pools just to see how they each compare.

You can add both pools to your configuration and tell cgminer/sgminer to load balance both pools. That should split your hashing power relatively evenly. Another bonus to this is if you set it up properly, if one of the pools goes down, it automatically makes the other card mine for the alive pool.
