Mainly b/c he acted like a d*bag. Thus why everyone was so quick to think he was culpable in some of the problems.

I'm on my phone so if I make mistakes, blame Sportsguy83

That dude could make a product that gave this car 1000hp safely, reliably, and cheap, and I would still refuse to buy it.

It has nothing to do with the ff kit either. Its his piss poor attitude he had towards customers in the beginning. I haven't seen it in a while and he seems to take a lot of heat from people now but that doesn't change the fact you treated customers like dirt. I won't give anyone like that a penny of my money.

Depends on your goals. If you are going to stay N/A, I would not do FF.

Only thing to keep in mind is always switch to the required map and always try to empty tank as much as possible before switching.

Wether you end up with E18 or E65 (because you did not completely drained the tank and had some fuel left over before switching), the ECU will adapt via Fuel Trims to that.

If you plan on going FI, I would highly recommend it.

Of course, this is IMHO and from what I've seen and learned with this car.

Get it. It's good spent money. You never know what the actual blend will be. Why risk damaging the motor?

Well for N/A it will be recommended too
Is a bad idea to mix e85 and 91

I'm putting mine together now and I'll be out the door for under $400 or so. It's also the only way to know you're getting quality parts given the currently available options. I'd be interested to see moto-east's kit though, since I'm sure it will be of better quality than what's out now.
What you doing with the lines? I don't have a problem cutting fuel lines, but if you knew something I didn't.

It's effectively investing in an engine protection system. The cheap ass in you doesn't want to pay for a new short block or maybe long block just b/c you ran into a hideous batch of fuel and didn't have the sensor and were boosted.

Edit: granted, you might still be fine. cf nelsmar's nightmare. He went 12k miles of driving on a tune that was severely leaning his system before it grenaded. Granted, I don't think he was on e85 for most of it (not sure, can't remember). Still, these blocks can take a beating.

But still, why risk it when you can do a one time investment against it.

We're willing to drop between $3k and $7k on turn-key FI setups, but not willing to drop $400 OTD (before labor) on a FF kit that is designed to help us protect our engine from dangerous knock when going between gasoline and corn juice.

To add to the above, yes your ECU can trim if you use set maps for e10/e85, but if you have the means... why wouldn't you you use a flexfuel kit? It seems that you would rely less on trims and get more instant fueling adjustments depending on ethanol content.

Moto-East Fuel fuel kit comes to 499 with the preorder discount and no harness if you want to either tap or use your rear o2 signal wire. If you want just the bare hardware and a plug/play kit it seems this is the cheapest I can find

@jamesm We need the schematics to brew our own ethanol.
