Actually couldn't you theoretically set another custom map with a threshold below say 5 or so (whatever you'll never realistically be under as far as ECA) on the other custom map's output (ECA scaler) then just have that map trigger the cel and do whatever else you want? If you do activate below threshold ~5 (or 2, or whatever) you'll only activate if it goes open unless you put ethanol free gas in the car, which I don't think I've ever seen around here. Just an idea.

It's a good idea but this is where humans work better than CEL algorithms. If you put in a tank of e85 and it reads 15 you know you have a problem (i.e. either hardware issue or the gas station screwed you). Only way you'll know is via the display unless you're logging. No way to set up a custom map for that.

Are you saying that if i purchase your kit with the ECU harness, that i will not lose anything, and can still use the wideband wb02 input? But if i do not purchase the ECu harness, i will have to cut the wire and lose the WB02?

No, regardless of which input you use for the ECA you can always use the other input for whatever else you want, including a wideband. You may have to wire it up yourself but you definitely can. I have my wideband wired into the CPC sensor input, and will use the rear o2 for the ECA. They're both just inputs.

Thats what i was thinking, like the idea of this kit, just felt like the added expense of the harness for me was not worth it, i have no trouble getting into the factory harness and splicing/cutting it. As you said, i could piece together the kit, but the fuel lines seem to be a pain to source the correct parts, overall this is a pretty good looking kit.

Hmmm, Would it be worth my buying a flex fuel kit over say running 2 maps, 1 for 98RON (93AKI) and 1 for E85.

Since ill really only use E85 for the track and for some fun when i have time off work.

Would there be any problems with this like when changing over to and from E85 and just switching the maps?

Just an FYI for anyone out there... Visconti now sells a FF Kit that is literally plug and play. No cutting fuel line, not cutting any wire. Everything plugs in and out. Looks like the go to option for the DIYers...

It was the cool thing to do.

I was one the hardest hitters at him regarding the whole charging to "repair" the original kit and even with all of that, we speak from time to time and have stayed in touch.

HECK, I bought one of his kits used, just had my local shop fabricate the fuel lines, and payed $265 for the kit + $38 for the fuel lines materials and that's it. I have a perfectly working FF kit.

No grudges held between us.

I was unaware he had updated the kit, then again he cannot post here.

My reasons for steering clear of Visconti were the problems that sprung from his original kit.

$800US is a lot almost 1K AU. hmmmm.
