Whats the benefit of running two, verses a single larger compressor/motor? Efficiency?

The ability to get a higher torque motor that spins fast enough. Unfortunately, high torque motors aren't high enough RPM for the application. More motors allow you to add more torque to the system without dropping speed.

would it make any sense to add this electric SC to a JRSC kit? dual charger? would it even work?

I envision a hybrid intake pipe from the two chargers. It would require two custom pipes that join and has the ability to close off the ESC when the JRSC builds more boost than the ESC. That would leave lots of torque down low with gobs of power at the top.

I was thinking more along the lines of a sequential setup, such as, JRSC-->intercooler-->ESC---> engine. kinda like compressing already compressed air.

You would probably choke the ESC as it's running at a set RPM. I wouldn't suggest compounding it with another F/I but then again, what do I know?

I got everything running right and went for a quick spin. It's awesome, love the TQ!

1. I doubt this is the first attempt to patent the idea in the U.S. as the concept had been around as long as the internal combustion engine itself. Of course patents are meaningless without the means ($$$) to protect them and the jurisdiction to validate them. This is a U.S. patent, see point 3.

2. Rob sells a kit of parts that the buyer can install as a system, not the fully assembled system itself. Much in the same way there are kits sold that can be used to produce other patented ideas (e.g. kit cars, gun parts, etc.)

3. Rob's in Canada.
Looks like that patent is no longer valid.
