All 3. The stock header is restrictive and so is the overpipe and front pipe. Replacing all 3 helps the engine breathe better and allows it to be tuned to maximum potential.

Header front pipe and over pipe in that order..... By far the most power from the header....

How is all that going? How does it compare to the UEL headers?

My taxes came back so I have one of three things to buy here soon... Lol.

I had some scheduling delays. I did some street tuning with the owner today. I have the dyno booked for tomorrow afternoon.

Very nice.... I'm curious as to how it looks.... Have you seen it's direct competition released a dyno. Looks decent.

Wish I had the money to setup a good test and see how each of the top say 5plus headers did on a stock car and with full bolt ons

I'll post dynos when I get home. I ran out of time on the dyno so I didn't get to focus on the mid rpm power as much as I hoped for. But there was absolutely no torque dip with the EL header.

I think a "true" 3rd party test like that would be awesome!! I remember some of the old honda header and intake manifold tests done like that. Results definitely varied from what was "claimed" lol.

Did the car have any other mods? How early did the power come on?

The only modification to the car was an Apex'i air filter. I didn't have enough time to tune the mid end but the tq dip was non existing, and the torque curve completely flat but there was a "bump" (where I did do some tweaks early in the session). There is plenty of room left to pull more power in the middle and I am kinda not happy that I ran out of time to tune any further. We had to stop since my friend needed to close up the shop. The plot I have was after I had done some load sweeps and dialed some timing back a bit. I meant to grab one of the earlier plots that had a tad more in the mid range.

Note that the run below was "shifted" a bit. We had the dyno calibration off by 200-300RPM on the baseline and didn't realize this until after we finished up last night. The power from stock and the header were nearly identical until almost 3,000RPM.

@ 6800-7000 it was roughly 25-30WHP gain, and 7200 ~40WHP (SAE corrected). The header just kept making power up top. I think with some minor cam adjustments I can actually hold the power out longer but I already increased the rev limit slightly and I don't know how far we can consider "safe" to push the rev limit on this engine in stock form.

Earlier runs I had ~3-5WTQ more throughout the powerband and I had pulled it out with a quick change to make the tune conservative as I knew Colton would be back with an overpipe for further testing in the next few weeks. If you note the torque "bump"at around 6,200RPM thats about where the tq was earlier during the day.

I am half tempted to go back and pay for dyno time with my own money to see what I can push out of that mid end. But the header will be going off for coating so I don't know if his car will be available.

Hhhhmmm looks good on the top end without losing any mid range. Nice and flat.

Surprised at how low the baseline is.. Isn't Phoenix at 1200 or so feet? Would have thought 155 baseline with 180 ish with the header.

Would be nice to see if after the front pipe and more tuning time.
