I went with a motiv concepts over pipe and megan racing resonated front pipe before I got my exhaust and I was happy with the sound for about a month then added Borla UEL header and an invidia q300 cat back

Hey guys, so I called up the workshop which specialises in Japanese parts/mods for cars and to get headers done would exceed my budget.

My two options are:
a) Frontpipe + Custom overpipe

b) Muffler delete

According to the guy, a muffler delete would be the cheapest option but he himself isn't sure how it'll sound. He said it'll be much louder but we won't know what it'll sound like until it's been done. I just don't want my car sounding like a loud garbage truck.

My main priority here is a loud, deep sportscar rumble. Performance is a bonus but it's really not necessary at all.

Any thoughts? I have a few days to make a decision.

Thanks in advance!

I have the OEM exhaust with a custom made straight through frontpipe, but with stock overpipe, and it's not loud. You barely notice it over stock, I was really expecting more.

Sounds like that speciality shop doesn't know shit about these cars.
Just a muffler delete is still real quiet.
You could try just a uel header like the borla or tomei and keep the rest stock. That will give the rumble you want.

I just paired my Nameless axleback with the invidia catless and unresonated font pipe. Couldnt be any happier with results. Only negative i'm thinking about is the fact that once I go headers and or the over pipe, it might get extremely loud. Ill have to buy a resonator to help.

If i were you and had those plans also, look into resonated. It may help some.

HKS dual resonated front pipe. Probably has the cleanest catless FP sound. Unless you like the rasp/drone.

Invidia's overpipe is a bit smaller in inner diameter I believe. Most companies offer 2.5" ID but I would verify.

I got my Berk overpipe and test pipe for $250 shipped, but that was a special deal they offered me. They still don't have the overpipe listed on their site though. I like it, but it is kind of loud on the cold start, not to bad at idle or on the highway though.

I have an Invidia OP/DP and catless front pipe and I love them. I also have a Greddy Evo 3 catback and Borla UEL.

*edit* In person at idle it's a deep rumble that you can kind of hear in the video. It's deeper than the video sounds. That was with my iPhone on the floor of my garage.
