If you look at shiv's post it's direct comparison of my car (91 octane, catless front pipe, and catback exhaust) and his car stock everything with the open flash header. Both cars running the phantom.

If you look at my pictures first picture is his car with the tq250 and tq 300.

The second picture is my car and setup running 91 at the lower end and e85 on the top. With two runs of both stacked on top of each other. Red: e85 and green: 91 octance

At 159 pages, there's a bit much to sift through. Has there been discussion / testing of this approach under track conditions: prolonged boost, higher temps, etc? I'm primarily thinking of HPDE type events, rather than competitive.

I recognize this is primarily a street application--and a terrific one at that, on many levels--but it's inevitable that it will see track duty . . .

Thanks.

Flashed the tune and went for a spin. I have to admit that my expectations for this kit have been completely blown out of the water. I can't wait to see what's in store once I can get back on the corn juice.

Took some more pics, which you can see here - http://imgur.com/a/0fnLV - I think I will go back and clean up the routing of the wires in the engine bay.

Thanks and congrats to @Robftss on releasing this excellent product, and great thanks to @shiv@vishnu for his help.

Thanks guys!

Good to hear it is working with your AT.

I'm on the East coast and mine said it was in customs 3 hours ago, then it instantly went to 'out for delivery'

Development continues to increase the duty cycle, so presently 'no' to track duty, a proper FI set up for track use is well over 5K for any car.... this is a different price point.

Thks, Rob

As a followup question, is there a failsafe that will default to DR mode (and not engage at WOT) once the current becomes insufficient through sustained use? This is more a curiosity than anything else, as it appears that nobody has run the dump packs down entirely.

From the manual:
Quote:
Fail safes

- 26.X volts peak. Thermal charger protection. Boost can be used but is slightly reduced.
* Resets 5-10min depending on engine bay temps.
- 24.X – 28.X volts and throttle switch activated but no boost. Thermal motor control protection.
* Resets in 2-10 seconds *let unit recharge and cool.
- 17.0 volts, no boost, low voltage cut-off. Tripped if batteries are poor quality.
- Triggering fail safes is normal, position box away from direct heat and expose all surfaces to air.
- Intermittent use times: Duty cycle, up to 20%. Continuous, up to 60 secs. (30 seconds recommended).
- Adding the optional clamp-on fan will increase duty cycle for higher heat exposure applications.

Website FRS/BRZ download has fail safes described.

A low voltage or thermal situation has a 'soft' de-rate boost, and you will go into N/A, it resets in a couple seconds and has a large safety margin.

The voltage display will also indicate excessive charging time by showing ~ 2 volt drop.

Thks Rob.

Im running a 500W Mono Block powering a 10" Type S and its fine, no dimming of light or anything even when defroster and heat is on, just would recommend using the audio system when the engine is off, thats all!

OFT running good but I got something goofy happening with my OFT (most likely my fault). Ran it on a non-ESC map for a few seconds. Felt great. I am exhausted (working on house). Installed smooth in about 1.25hrs. Im my haste I left out one part of the battery thing (plastic sheet). I'll fix that and look into a relay tomorrow
