Cool, yea, we all have to start somewhere... I've been racking my brain on where to start with sway bar, tire choice, and exhaust. I think I finally made decisions on all 3.

My C-Street setup will be completely ordered by week's end
Exhaust and Sway bar already being processed.

Yesterday was the best I've felt I'm done in this car. I felt great but I noticed in videos that I was off the cones a bit.

The weight savings probably nets more (though tiny amount) than the power on the catback. That's why I spent $35 on a shop making me a delete pipe.

Very little to none... the question was more what is livable for me and my wife because the car also gets daily driven regularly.

Weight savings is nice, but you really aren't going to save enough in the street ruleset to make much of a difference. I'm of the opinion you don't NEED to focus on dropping any weight in street to be competitive.

Hearing the exhaust is nice, though. Makes it easier to hear whats going on afterward when looking at video or riding in the passenger seat with regards to gas.

I have the Tanabe single exhaust. It's light, has a deep, throaty exhaust note, and sounds great at WOT. No drone at hwy speeds and no hassles from the police, so far. WAY quieter than the exhaust delete I was using before.

Read the past 20 posts, lots of discussion. Strano bar is pretty much preferred all around.

Our local rules class Street and street-r classes together. So I can run street tires from march-april, and sept-october and race tires in the middle when its 110.

Street tires just cant handle the temps here with dual drivers and 10 runs per event. They just scrub after run #4 (#8, since dual drive) even with constant spraying.

This was one of the options I was considering. Just decided to go another direction because I wasn't too big of a fan of the canister hanging out the rear bumper look... but that is 100% personal preference, and I think the Tanabe looks better than most that style.

I went for the Nameless axleback with 5" muffler option.

Strano bar is a good baseline I think to start, seems to be commonly accepted as the best option, though I haven't heard of any back-to-back testing of options. It's one of the lightest options available in terms of rate... if I feel more bar is needed I'll pick up a whiteline 20mm adjustable and test them back-to-back.

@SeanRTR and I are both Detroit locals, I'll be interested to see how our cars compare, as we are both going to have significantly different approaches, starting with BRZ vs FR-S with completely different modifications... I don't think anything aside from Enkei RPF1's will be common.

As has been established, I honestly think any aftermarket sway is so close. My main competitor in DC region was also in an FRS; he had the Strano on 235/40 Z2, I had the Hotchkis on soft on 215/45 Z2. I don't think we were ever more than 0.5 seconds apart all year. He won most of the time, but I won some too. If you play with the Konis, pressures, etc., I think any option can work.

I'm going to try the Perrin 19mm to start the year, but I'll be switching quickly if I find I don't like it. The Hotchkis created a little too much understeer for my taste, but it worked.

I'm jealous of everyone who is already having events! Mid-March is my first event, but I'm worried there might still be snow on the ground or freezing temperatures.

I have the Hotchkis (used it on soft). HATED it autocrossing. It was really nice on the street but on any surface with a semblance of grip, it's awful.

I think it could make a good bar in standing water but who really wants to swap bars at the event?
