Is this just the rear? I don't see how you could fit 10" wheels at that high of an offset in front with stock spring perch.

I have 18x9.5 +48 on the way. Looking to mount 255/35/18 on them.
I'll only be on sportlines though.

Can anyone comment on whether or not Ill need spacers to clear the stock struts? I've read a 3-5mm spacer would do...Realistically, would I need a 10mm spacer?

I'd like to be prepared and have them ordered up by the time the wheels are here. Unless I don't even need them at all?

First, thanks to 2point0 for fielding many of the questions lately.
Been busy with work so haven't been able to contribute much.

As for your wheels, yes you will need a spacer. I would say about 15mm depending on your camber settings. You'll want about -2 camber all around +/-. Effective offset after your spacer will be +33.

If you have an option of changing your wheels (that's a really high offset, I'd go for a +35 to +33 with that wheel width. And you'll need to get the camber just right for a wide wheel like that especially if you want to run a 255 tire.

Looking at getting 18x9.5 +38 Work Emotion CR Kiwami Ultimate and not sure whether should go 245/35/18 or 255/35/18 for all.

Heya only new to these forums. I did a bit of searching and came across http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56878
which are the same wheels I would like but different offset.
I would like to know if 17*9 +42 Rota Titans wrapped in 245/40's lowered using either the Eibach Pro Kit or Sport Line (would prefer the Sport Line but would be happy with the Pro Kit if it's just simpler) will have any clearance problems. And if they do any advice to get around that. Thank you

I've read as many posts on this thread as I could until my eyes hurt and I wanted to see if I could get some sort of definitive answer. Perhaps my searching isn't very good but I'm looking at this setup right now.

18x9.5 Rota Grid 38mm Offset with stock suspension

I don't really want to lower my car, I don't think that'll help with clearance but I'd like to know what was the largest tire size I could go with and still clear the stock spring perches. I'd prefer something meaty like 255/35ZR18, do you guys think that'd fit?

I saw in a post by @BrunoM that he fit a similar setup but with 235/40/18 PSS, I'd like to go a little wider if possible.

If ur not gonna lower/camber the front then u can go wider. At 18x9.5 +38 the rims are what will hit the perch (i have the exact same wheels) from a 235 to a 265 with stock height and no camber u should be fine (note: the front rim and tire poke outside of the fenders)

@Slick I assume coilovers would make clearance a whole lot easier? Im not too keen on running a spacer, would rather a coilover. Think that'll give me enough room?

A good bolt-on spacer is no different than just having the same wheel in a lower offset. But yes, coilovers will give a ton more room, as they are much smaller in diameter. That's why you see guys with 9.5" wheels and +40-ish offsets.

Just a slip-on spacer is sketchy over like 5mm since you lose too much thread contact with the lug nuts. Bolt-on ones have their own studs so it's just a new wheel mounting surface.

Enkei Tuning T6S staggered 18x8 +45 fronts and 18x9.5 +45 in the rear.
Currently on stock suspension, and will be for a few more months.

Looking at 225/40-18 in front, and 255/35-18 in rear for rubber.

When you add lowering springs, you will gain camber which pushes the wheel closer to the strut. So yes, you may rub depending on how much drop.

Should be fine, will poke out a bit. If you don't like it, throw some Eibach ProKits on there, then it will look great. (and you'll likely love the handling more with these)

Pretty much the same setup I have except I'm on 18s (18x9 +35) with 245-wide tires.
