Ah that's why I didn't see anyone. I rolled thru at 930 but left since I didn't see anyone.

Just one of those days. There were quite a few more parts behind and under the car. And yes mostly everything is labeled. lol. Thanks to everyone that came by to help, bullshit, have beers, etc. It was a blast! I am soooo excited to finally start rebuilding the car this week!

Thanks! It was a lot of work, but thoroughly interesting.

I'm even still more impressed with this motor's resilience. 12k miles on a "blow me up, Scotty!" tune before it finally grenaded, with a fairly aggressive driving style, THEN when headers are pulled, not much (if any) damage to the headers, despite the catastrophic damage to the short block.

This sucker can take a beating!

That was entertaining as hell to watch, too. The sentra's back end was massively sagging with the trunk lid open and about half the hoist hanging out of it in completely ghetto-hero style.

Lol that was fucking amazing that he showed up in the centra with the hoist!!! And yeah surprisingly low damage for what happened but then again I was low load and rpm when it went luckily. The case halves are just glass like if a rod breaks. There are lots of clear signs of detonation backing up my original post. I have to say though that front cover... Holy hell that thing sucked to pull!! Hopefully I get lucky and can get the majority of the parts / machine work done by the weekend so I can start reinstalling pieces!!

Lots I pics . I still can't find some pieces of my piston.... Lots of detonation some pistons have a large quantity of dimples on the edging from tuning so lean. Looks like a few pieces of a piston may have broke off during a lean spike and rattled around inside and then came out the exhaust port. I need to check the head again real fast now that I'm sober and had coffee LOL. But it is pretty much coming up to what I expected.
