Ah finally someone got smart and made some aluminum diff bushings for this car, any plans on doing the rear diff to subframe mounts also? Looks great and I admire all of the DIY work!

Btw one of the best tools that I recently got was a Harbor Freight 20ton shop press, around $180 but well worth the money. I've used it to press out ball joints/subframe bushings/hubs/wheel bearings/etc. on my e36 325i. From the work your doing it would be great to have one at your house!

The diff to subframe mounts I was thinking about doing, but I would of had to remove the subframe and it was more work than I wanted to do at the time. It is something I'm still considering in the future though. We'll see how it goes.

My brother had a Cusco spin turn knob just laying around. Put it on just because.
Why are you choosing to go with coilovers and getting rid of the springs?

Only reason I went with lowering springs was because I was going to a car meet and didn't want stock height on aftermarket wheels. I had already intended to get coilovers because I prefer them to just a stationary drop. I'm debating right now as whether to go supercharged as I have been planning for the past year or so. If I do that when I get my tax return, I'll only have enough to purchase the supercharger and tune and that's it. There is more I want to have for the car when I install it and I'd rather not install it until I have all the pieces at one time. So my other alternative is to purchase the coilovers I want and possibly do a brake upgrade. I'm still leaning towards the supercharger though. It's only been the past couple of days that I have been reconsidering.

Cool. Since this is my first car to really work with I am learning a lot about what to do. Right now I am debating the header + supercharger or just get a turbo.

Looking forward to hear how your supercharger experience goes.

Forced induction is way out of my league so I am looking for a local shop to advise and carry out that mod on my car.

Are you looking to install the supercharger yourself?

Definitely. Only thing I won't be doing to this car, at least in the beginning, is the tune. But who knows, later on down the road as I learn more, I might try messing with the tune myself.

I still don't understand why you want to do coilovers so bad. For the type of driving you are doing now I can see no benifit to having adjustable ride height. Maybe in the future when you decide to make it more track oriented it would be nice to have coilovers for corner balancing purposes. For now you picked up a nice set of springs that aided in both the handling and appearance of your car.

I only went to coilovers on the front of my 86 because Marty at AutoComp is insisting on corner balancing my car. Otherwise I'd still be rocking a stationary drop.

I'm not opposed to a stationary drop. In fact I've ran them on every other car I've owned. I just prefer coil overs at the moment based off of what I have seen available so far for the FRS/BRZ compared to the struts and springs I've seen that are available. I think the coil overs I'm looking at getting will, IMO, serve my purpose better than springs and struts.

Just purchased my Innovate Stg. 2 supercharger from @CSG Mike. Really nice guy. Took a good amount of time out of his morning to help me with my purchase. I'd recommend to check with the guys over at CSG to anyone wanting excellent customer service. Thanks Mike.

And because I'm in a spending mood today (thank you tax refund) I just ordered my 3" Nameless mid pipe and axle back and they were nice enough to make me an intake for the Innovate supercharger. Thank you @Ryan@Nameless for taking as much time out of your day as you did to help me with the order. You guys are awesome!!

Ironically, I got laid off today at my day job (real job) less than an hour after I played middleman with you and the sales team at CSG.

I suppose I'll be having some extra time in the next week or so to answer questions; I'm usually on the board when I'm killing time at work. I suppose that might have been a bad sign when I had that much downtime...
