Definitely the most thorough answer.

Although, per dollar, I think the best is a panel filter, Open Flash tune, and possibly their header. And that stuff is easy to remove if there is a warranty issue prior to it running out.

-E85 fuel or 93 with water/meth injection
-Equal length header
-2.5" exhaust
-Cold air intake
-Big bore throttle body
(all of which would need to be dyno-tuned)

And to reduce parasitic loss and get more power to the ground/better accel:
-lightweight pulleys
-carbon fiber driveshaft
-lightweight flywheel
-lightweight wheels/tires
-higher final drive ratio

Those are just power mods. You can make the car faster overall with suspension, brake, and weight reduction mods, but as mentioned before the best mod you can do to the car is to improve the skill of the driver.

You are NOT VOIDING WARRANTY.

You may be DENIED warranty coverage, but your warranty is VALID for entire duration of 3 years and/or 36000 miles.

Understand the warranty terms first before you modify the car, please.

This is a GREAT book to get started. It's about 10 years old now so some of the info is a little dated (read: spinner rims) but it got me on the right path and could do the same for any of you. It tells you not just about the pros and cons of just about every specific modification but how to plan and budget for a project car, and even what to do if a project car goes wrong, takes too long, or goes over budget, because believe me, it will!

Interesting. My car feels fast as it is in stock form. However, in order for that kind of experience, I have to keep the engine above 5k RPM. On the plus side, you get to keep your warranty (as long as you are not banging the rev limiter). On the down side, forget about your MPG.

And as others have said, driver mod.

Nope, but reducing weight is an even better performance gain than adding HP!

theres only one way to get what you want.

1. roll down drivers side window
2. Stick head out window
3....
4. Profi...er I mean, speed! Or at least the illusion of it.

Hell if it works for dogs itll work for us.

Tires, then brakes, then suspension, then power. All while upgrading safety accordingly. You can't even use all the power you have. Why sirens money adding more?

How to get 250 hp from your frz without voiding warranty and no fi.

1) gather your keys, parents and parents checkbook
2) take all 3 to your closest domestic car dealership
3) trade for a domestic rwd, even the v6 models will meet your goals while maintaining warranty status

Hey! That's insulting. Some of us are financially independent and don't live in the basement anymore at the girlfriend's/boyfriend's parent's house.

Well I did say gather them. Not just walk upstairs.

That can mean driving to their place
