I drive in traffic each day 18 miles one way and i drive mostly in the city area. Would you guys hate me for getting an automatic? I'm expecting to abuse the pedal shifters and I don't actually know how to drive a manual. Reactions?
The clutch in this car is so light, that stop and go traffic is a breeze... my mustang had a heavy clutch and I still drove stop and go traffic with relative ease...

I for sure ain't waiting until 2015 for my distributor to screw up (again) and try to make a special special special edition like they are doing with the Monogram. Especially if the 2015 will come out in Yellow only with a TRD exhaust and body kit as the only option.

Yeah the Monogram is quite the deal. Same price as the 10 series but it has an arm rest, heated leather seats, heated mirrors and other do-dads.

I'm trying to get a white manual Monogram right now, but everyone ordered the car in the same spec so I might have to switch to red or dark grey. They make a crimson dark red color Impreza in the same factory so that's my guess of the 2015 SE color. Its not bad, not bad at all.

God speed with your Monogram, if worse comes to worse I will buy a dem limited BRZ.

Only one Subaru independent dealer / distributor here... They don't plan on bringing the BRZ in because they can't compete on cost with the Toyota sales monster. They tried to sell me a 2014 WRX for $39k (20% punch-to-the-kidney excise tax included)

Yeah... they told me last year, "we might bring the BRZ next year, but we have a nice WRX you can buy right now"

Yeah, no...

Put my deposit in at the dealer I work at a few weeks ago. Waiting on the delivery truck to arrive... everyday it kills me to see a FR-S'less' PDI lot...

Raven FRS Monogram M/T and gonna wrap it in matte white myself!

I chose the Automatic. I have quite the commute each way, and although it wouldn't be a problem (physically/mentally), I chose it for the extra mileage, and the Automatic in this vehicle is exceptional, if my knowledge is correct its built by Aisin same as the IS-F. It is very quick, very smooth, very sporty. The paddle shifters are a nice weight, but I barely use them, as I choose to use the shifter which was engineered to feel as realistic as possible to a manual (in a forward/backward motion), and the feeling is superb. The dynamic rev management is awesome, and it makes the car sound a little more lively (in my opinion, and others) unless your heel-toe-shifting 24/7 with your manual. A fellow member I know in town thought I had an exhaust because I had the JDM tips and it sounded more throaty than his stock Manual.

The Snow mode has also come in handy in winter situations. So really, you get bunch of driving modes Snow, Normal, Sport, and Manual-Mode to drive in, so it fits your mood in any situation (similar to the new Lexus Drive modes). Thoroughly impressed, and I wouldn't put Automatic in these twins down.

It's actually the front seat arm rest. This is the first time there is an actual OEM arm rest. Many people have been buying aftermarket arm rests up to this point. I don't give a dem about heated leather seats or mirrors either.

The seats will add some resale value though I'm sure.

really? non of the pictures showed it... interesting... though considering how much I use my cup holders, I'd be pissed if I had the arm rest... lol... the brake handle is a perfect armrest for me...

My 2az-fe "Camry" is a pleasure to drive in 5-speed manual. People are surprised when they see it is a manual. Anyhow, I enjoy the feeling too much to get into an automatic...

I hope you aren't too disappointed when yours doesn't have a front arm rest.

Everything I have read and all the pictures I've seen state a rear arm rest and I haven't seen or read anything about a front one.
