If this car was like 2 years old. It woulda been crushed FRSURE!

Cheap ass insurances.

I'm still waiting for their insurance to authorize the repair.
In the meantime, the rear of the car is teared down and is now outside not in a garage.
Should I be concern of water damage(We got a heavy rain) of the car because the car is sitting outside with metal exposed? (They wrapped it in plastic)

Damn... My insurance policy totaled my BRZ with a value of $23,5000 and an estimated repair cost of $16,000. You were borderline...

Shit happens in life...

I think I will be getting my FRS back around Feb 20ish.

They're going to repaint some section of my car.
Can I ask for the insurance to pay money for the detailing of the car?

What color is the car? They should probably paint the whole thing matching the metallic is not gonna happen and you'll see the difference

It uses the same paint code though, and the car is pretty new. Sorry. I'm noob when it comes to this paint stuff.
Actually, just a question when they repaint my car;
Will they use the thin subaru paint ? Or will they use their own "house blend" paint

Silver is THE hardest color to match....you'll see, if they dont paint that whole car the new paint will be a different color silver for sure

Wait, there's minimal frame damage?
That doesn't mean there isn't any frame damage.
To be quite honest,I'd refuse to get it fixed.I'd refuse to drive it. I would want it totaled. Why? Because the structural integrity has now been compromised, and safety could be an issue.
It wasn't your fault, so I can understand why you're upset. Hope it gets resolved.

Well. I hope everything turns out well.. Hardest not impossible....
I'll ask them tomorrow on how to will paint my car.

If they do repaint my car, wouldn't the overall paint will be thick? (I'll have 2 layers of silver)
And let's say 15 years down the road, I'll start seeing different shade of silver..

They won't total it. They said my car will be fixed to OEM Specification.
