I'm not saying $10k, but once you're in STX you'll want wider tires, better alignment, etc. Might as well have coilovers to get corner balanced while you're at it.

that's just the suspension side of things..

STX opens you up quite a bit for engine mods, you'd need to suplement quite a bit with skill to overcome a power disadvantage.

Bilstein is your only option on the market that I know of. They have two models, the higher spec ones are valved stiffer and from what I recall are shorter bodies so you aren't giving up bump travel when lowered.

Guys, not everyone is trying to win nationals! Let him enjoy the car the way he wants and maybe be competitive locally, which you can do with Konis + good springs and a decent driver. You don't need to spend $10k to have fun.

For sweeny, check out the Bilsteins. Both should work for you, but the Bisltein Sports would be a little more sporty (duh) than the Bilstein HDs. The Sports will cost a little more.

Eibach Pro-kits (assuming that's what you have) aren't the best handling springs out there but they aren't the worst. You'd gain a little from our RCE Tarmac springs or just going to a quality set of coilovers but you can still have fun and learn a lot before doing that.

How come? I was planning on pairing my yellows with Konis, but I'd be interested to hear your opinion. Can the stock struts dampen those springs properly? Thanks!

RCE Yellows work well with Konis. They'll work well with Bilsteins and OEM as well. The aftermarket dampers will just be a little better but OEM is fine.

Do either of the sets change ride height on OEM springs? The shorter body makes me think they would not be legal for stock/street. (I know OP isn't in stock/street but I am curious for my own curiosity)

One more option is the MCS with stock height kit. Uber expensive.
But a top tier dampener for CS.
Like $2650 on EVO school site.

Both the RCE yellows and swift springs were designed to work with stock struts. Both springs will work great with Koni's (or Bilstein's) as well. My comment was more directing people to those springs if they wanted to keep the stock struts, not that you shouldn't replace the struts with those springs.

Not sure, but I don't think they lower the car on their own.
