I've really been thinking about doing this but now that you mention you don't like the sound on stock speakers, I'm hesitant. What exactly is it you don't like?

The sound it really more powerfull and crisp but I wasn't able to add bass like I wanted. The OEM speaker couldn't keep it up!

At what volume would you say it starts distorting? Shouldn't really matter anyway as I plan to throw a sub in the trunk to handle the bass.

The sound was clean as long that I did not ad more bass from the stock headunit to the speakers, the door speaker were distoroning. If you got a subwoofer well it's not a problem all the bass will be out with the sub!
