really depends on what you are looking for. the NOVA area has tons of bars/restaurants/night life as well as the museums and monuments and dc attractions. if you go out west towards skyline drive you have open land with mountains and smaller towns. you can do the college town thing in blacksburg or lynchburg, but youll be too far away from DC for the city stuff. richmond is a larger city with a lot of stuff to do, about 3 hours south of DC, but maybe an hour and a half from the VA beach stuff. and as they've said, va beach is a cool place to be but the water is ganky. for flights you're looking at IAD, DCA in NOVA, RIC in richmond, theres a regional airport in lynchburg, and a regional in va beach.

Ichi is coming to our area? You know we have to take you out for beer right!

As others have said depends on the area since VA is big. If you can swing it come to the DC/Nova area as everything is around us at a relatively short distance with out traffic (big factor). Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Mountains are about 1 hour 30 minutes away. VA's wine tasting is about 45 minutes away, DC and all the monuments are right downtown. Lots of beach choices all about 3 to 4 hours away as well with some being a lot closer.

Hope you can make it down to our neck of the woods I think it has a lot to offer not to mention tons of great food

When is good month to go there (not too hot)?
What to do there (day time & night time)?
Is there some gearheads like me to do there?

Good time to go (Not summer, humidity sucks) but if you must then most likely June or July.
Lots of Stuff to go as well
Lots of car related activities you would not be bored a day you are here

Well I tried to piss you off to give you a reason to come and punch me in the face. Then you will be in our area and join in awesome events and fall in love with me (no homo). Still, DC equals foods and tourism. You gotta get here.

One of my favorite places to bring visitors. Right next door to the white house. Good food, not expensive. Sometimes a wait list. Call ahead for dinner.

Another great place to be is Ram's Head Tavern in Savage, MD. But that's not Virginia! http://ramsheadtavern.com/savage/
