It has an "L" shaped cross section, about 1.25" to 1.5" per leg.

Did the home depot one has L shaped with similar size?
Thanks.

You can see in the picture, the Home Depot one is a little bigger, maybe 2" and not a perfect 90 degrees. More like an obtuse L shape, probably 120 degrees between the legs. But it isn't as rigid (it's a soft foam-like rubber vs STI is stiff, dense rubber). If you are trying to see which offers better protection, I would go with STI because it has proven to protect my lip even in dips that are deeper than how high my front lip is. Because as the rubber skirt would rub down into the dip, it would conform to the dip and keep some spacing between the ground and front lip, pushing/bending the front lip up and away from the concrete. The Home Depot lip may be able to do this too, but I have no firsthand experience with it (I never scraped when I had it on).

How to install the STI rubber? It only uses tape or need to drill the hole to
the front lip?
Thanks.

It comes with 3m tape already attached and plastic pins for you to use after you drill. I didn't drill and just used the tape.

Is the hard rubber material same as STI Rear Wing Gurney Flap?

How many plastic pins they include? Where is the drill (or mount spot)

the installation guidance suggest?

Sorry for so many questions and Thanks again.

Yes, it feels similar to the gurney flap. I don't remember how many pins nor the locations. The instructions seemed generalized (I think the diagram was for the Impreza and did not look like our car). The skirt already had some holes for the pins but they were not symmetrically placed (many holes on the right side and very few holes on the left side) nor evenly spaced. And it was a little longer than the lip (I think I cut off about 8 inches of unneeded material).

Not much to post as of now... maybe check back in a little more than a month and possibly a new photo set.

I'm currently debating if I should get a TRD short shifter (the JDM one). It'll make the inputs (w/ TRD steering wheel and TRD shift knob) feel complete but I'm hesitant to pull apart interior pieces and decipher Japanese instructions. >_< I'd rather torque nuts and bolts outside the cabin.

I've been eyeballing the GT-86 Limited steering wheel for a long time now. I probably won't pull the trigger for another couple of months. Concerning the short shifter, it's honestly not that bad to deal with. Easier than an early model Impreza, I'm sure, and maybe harder than my 2011 WRX since the car is inherently smaller and more cramped. I'm sure a bunch of local guys would be willing to help, too.

Why TRD and not STI? I was kinda maybe considering the STI one since the price came down a lot.

I should be creating a Member's Car Journal thread here shortly as well. I've been trying to get used to my Nikon D5000 with this new 35mm lens while tackling more techniques. It's been frustrating, but hopefully I'll have nice pics to share when the car is ready.

I can't wait for your updates!

Thanks bud! The girth isn't exactly ergonomic and can make your hand(s) tired after gripping it for an extended period of time compared to stock. But that and the slightly smaller diameter make the feel a touch more fun than stock. I used to want the OEM steering wheels Momo made for old school Toyotas such as the MR2 so my preference is biased. Momo made this one noticeably lighter than stock as well (though I didn't have a scale to weigh it). I chose it over other wheels for its uniform shape rather than lumps at 2 and 10 o'clock and flattened bottom at 6 o'clock. If you don't care for a uniform shape, other JDM options such as Prova or Cusco are simply gorgeous.
