The pain will come to you in a day or two. As soon as you start feeling sore, GO TO THE DOCTOR/HOSPITAL. I cannot stress that enough. And tell them it's from a car accident, and give them the guy who hit you's insurance. They will bill them instead of you.

Take the insurance check, take the car as is, sell car. That is an option if they don't total it.

You know what sucks? You're defenseless when 1-2 days after the snow and you drive on the highway, the driver in front of you changes lane, and throws up a bunch of alien objects, ranging from sand to tic tac size rocks.

Now... Just 2 more days till I hear news...

I'll be the happiest man alive when they say "yeah.... It's too expensive to repair... So it's totaled, and we're going to write you a check"

Don't forget to do your homework in advance of their possibly low-ball offer. Find and print out from the internet any similar cars with as few miles as possible to counter their offer.

Worst case scenario, with just a little pushing on your end you should be able to get at least a few hundred more than they offer, unless their offer is good from the start.

Sounds like a great opportunity to find a "demo" in your area. Demos often have the disadvantage of not being discounted very much at all. I've seen as low as $500 off for a demo with as much as 1000 miles on it or more.

That shouldn't be too difficult to prove using any type of vehicle if you can't specifically find an FR-S or BRZ demo. The point you will be arguing if you have to use a different make/model is that any car with so few miles is sold as close to full price as possible with very little discount.

Of course you won't be recovering your tax, rather MSRP(or whatever pre-tax price you paid), minus the 525 miles. I'd shoot for no more than $1000 off your pre-tax/pre-loan rate and hope for only $500 off, like all of the dealers would want for their demo with only 525 miles.
