I couldn't get Aha or Pandora to work properly..... but I figured that mostly had to do with us being in Canada and promptly forgot all about it.... I listen only to the radio or to my SD card....

If anyone knows how, please share how I can edit the source bar on the side of the screen? I want to REMOVE Pandora/Aha and other sources I don't use.

How much of a difference will there be between the 2013 and 2014 units?

Is the torrent file on the first post the latest firmware? I'm aware this thread is a bit old, but just got my BRZ and want to do the hack!

Thanks DmkMedia
I take it that it means if we get the 2014 CND models we will be able to follow all the DIY mods that the guys have done in the US with their 2013 radio's.

Definitely interested in updating my Maps. I've found myself using Navigation on my Android lately instead of trying to deal with the GPS in my car. I find a lot of the time the car's GPS takes me the long way, even when it comes to roads that have been there forever.

Anybody want to offer any input on whether this is the best way to do things as of now or if there is a better/safer/simpler way of doing things as of September 2013?

Also curious if you need to use updated steps when it comes to the 2014 map updates or if you can still follow these steps completely and just switch to the newer downloaded navigation files and still have it work great?

Not sure how many people have ran into this, but the navi.exe file I had to edit was located in x:\......\mybackup\PRG1\Apl\

Otherwise, I successfully updated my Nav Software! Only issue I'm having is getting the bluetooth to connect properly, but I suspect its a phone compatibility issue (I'm trying to connect with a Samsung Galaxy S2).

Thank you so much for this tutorial! I managed to get the Pandora app going with my phone (I have a Galaxy S3 with a US proxy for the pandora app) and it is so awesome now. The album art shows up, I can rate songs, and overall it is just better in every way

Did this - worked like a charm.
Unfortunately the navi still gives totally nonsensical directions.

Would it be possible to upgrade to V4.600 with the 2012 Maps?

http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/St...600_NOTICE.pdf

I'm guessing that would require a different softmod

"When possible, make a legal u-turn"

Interpret as,

"When possible, make illegal u-turn"

AFAIK It seems to be able to store multiple profiles, but can only actively search for one.
However, you can use your phone and ipod at the same time if you register your phone as just hands-free and the ipod as just audio. That way you can listen to your ipod's songs via bluetooth but still receive calls via the head unit.
