Maybe put work and home on something and then just the bevkey and car key on something else?

Might try looking for some quick release (not a carabiner) for my key chain that I can attach the valet key to. Better than the ol' pile-o'-keys.

Many years ago I learned that there's absolutely no reason in MY world why I needed more than the ignition key and a single house key in in my sports car key ring. My SUV has 3 keys: Ignition, house and storage key. But until that day, I had every freaking key I could ever need in one key chain. The turning point was when I had to replace the ignition switch on my '95 Pathfinder in '96.

The valet key typically works in the ignition but not the trunk. If you lock the trunk they should not be able to open it with the valet key. Other than that it serves little purpose on your average car.

And you have way too many keys. I have 4, and that is only because I need 1 to get in my building, 1 for my apartment, and 1 for the mailbox. Other then that I try to reduce what I have on my keychain.

It drives me crazy to drive my fiance's car because she has so much crap on hers.

I use all of these keys (other than my parents' house key) multiple times daily. It's not like I'm carrying 3 duplicate house keys and 3 duplicate work keys. They all have specific applications. It's 6 unique keys, all of which are utilized throughout the day.

I think I'll just hotwire my car.

Yes, that seems like the only and most reasonable solution

If you carry only the valet key, unlock the door with it, the trunk will not open. That is the only difference.
