When you guys are here, be sure to go down to 2nd Street, there's tons of great restaurants. Open Sesame and the Magic lamp are incredible.

If you want to hit up the beach, go down to Seal Beach, the next beach east of Long Beach, it's way nicer.

If there's anything you guys want to know about, ask away, I've lived here 7 years. Congrats!

Oh wow thanks for thelink. I saw that one but never read it.

Quote from the article:

" The rear seat is... very limited. Small children or child seats, maybe. With me sitting fairly upright in my normal driving position, at 6'3" tall, the front seat back was 2-3" from touching the rear seat bottom (almost zero rear seat leg room). The front seat could slide back that extra few inches, to where the seats touch (zero rear leg room), and I had to really reach for the controls... so I suspect up to a 6'7" driver would fit - there is a lot of head room. With a slimmer seat bottom (custom floor bracket) even these tall folks could race the car with a helmet on. Surprisingly roomy up front... "

Yay!

I agree on the 75% part. I say I'm at 95%, but that is solely based on preinformation. If any of it changes, so does my %. In the end though, I need a new car (current daily driver is near 290K miles!) so I'll be buying something and this is the leading contender.

As far as the wait list, I don't see any reason why they couldn't pull folks off it right through the delivery of the 86 cars. You may only have the option of taking whatever someone rejected, but you should at least get the same shot if you selected the same dealer and the same color/tranny. Just my opinion though.

Glad it helped, and it doesn't look like an eliminating factor for you. I'll be interested sitting in the car. If at 6'3" he had a couple inches of back seat room, I'm hoping that at 5'7" it becomes usable for short distances anyway. That isn't a show stopper for me (90% of my driving is solo or two up) but it would be nice to not have that to overcome with the wife when it comes down to it.

Then again, she drives an '05 Mustang convertible so she doesn't have much room to complain about backseat space.

I rather doubt that 86 people will show up, probably about half that number-so maybe there is hope for a test drive.

What makes me a little upset is they seem to be making it a big deal. Maybe pricing/release?

if THEY dont make it a big deal, who will LOL

its all about hype and marketing...they coulda just given the first 86 a discount, but that wouldnt have generated as much buzz and publicity as all this, which will lead to better brand image too

its all good, i just want the car
