So the system can handle 48 volts? And how does the controller and motor handle this? Also Rob if you need someone to test out the tq 300 after @shiv@vishnu tunes for it I can always help. .

I think he is referring to something like I have. Two 24v dump packs wired together not for 48v bit for more lead at 24v.

Right now I have the standard 2 batteries plus 2 small additional batteries that increase capacity by 50percent. I'm guess that he is relocating his starter so that he can put 4 big ones in and increase total capacity by 100 percent.

Wouldn't you run them in parallel for more capacity?

More lead keeps the load more stable. There is usually about .25 to .5 psi more when increasing the reserve capacity. This resulted in about 5 HP more on the tq250 when we were testing earlier.

The extra capacity is a requirement for the tq300 system because it draws a extra 1000 watts.

Rob is putting together the harness and I assume the batteries are wired in parallel and not series - so we should still see 24 volts. Should have some results tomorrow. The four batteries will fit with a new battery tray but I have to move the starter battery to the trunk area. Don't mind this as it spreads out the extra weight a little.

Yes you are. You can see the two small batteries in the middle between the larger starter battery and the original dump pack batteries. They are half the size of the original two dump batteries.

Only problem is the wiring gets a little convuluted unless you take a lot of car routing it.....which in my car we did not.

What you see is the largest starting battery plus a 50 percent reserve capacity add on plus 2 reachargers.
