Thanks Mike, I'm unsure of the pulley sizes but mostly just anticipating 3rd party dynos/videos.

Few questions about the oil: The oil cooler is for the supercharger oil only I am guessing?

Also, what is the minimum temperature of that oil? The reason I ask this is because I drove my car in the snow this year and I should not have to next year, but some people in QC are getting such a kit and I was wondering if it was useable in our cold north temperatures! At what kind of temperatures do we need to preheat the oil before getting it started?

Thanks!

The oil cooler everyone is speaking of is for "engine oil"
The Rotrex has it's own included oil cooler.

So there is an oil cooler for the engine oil included in the kit? That makes it a great deal if so!

No that is coming however and I expect it'll be extra.

It's for the supercharger.

The kit was tested in Colorado winters, which may or may not be comparable.

As for minimum temp for the Supercharger oil.... -40°C (-40°F) per Rotrex. Is that cold enough for ya?

There will be an engine oil cooler available from Jackson Racing that is modular with the Supercharger kit.

Thanks a lot! That clears things up nicely! I was asking about the oil because the Vortech had a problem where they didn't recommend using the system under a certain temperature that was very common in Quebec during winter. We don't get -40°c that often, so it should not be an issue for winter driving.

Is there an ETA for the dual oil cooler system or is it still in a development stage and it's a "when it's ready"?

Approximately "within a month", but no promises.

Which is excellent, since I'm planning on getting this after all my trainings in Germany during spring. I'll only consider it for this summer, so fine by me It'll give time to iron out the first release bugs for that new cooler and to get my finances ready

Thanks for the info Mike! Really appreciated

Also, will you be installing their oil cooler on your CSG BRZ? Because if so, I can't wait for the pictures and your impressions on it!

Yes, we'll be testing the oil cooler when it's ready, since it requires ZERO fab work to work with the supercharger on our car.

Oooooops that me bad thought we were speaking of a OC for engine by Jackson as I was speaking to Oscar Juniour he was saying they were making a bolt in OC to accommodate this kit.

So, i was under the impression that the benefit of a rotrex unit would be that you could spin up the compressor earlier than with say a Vortech to get boost down low and then limit the boost up top by using inlet restrictors.... I'm not seeing that in this application though... it seems the rotrex units are not making any more boost down low than the vortech units.... this is based on the dyno plots (power output) i have seen, not actual boost plots...

Is it possible that with a larger impeller and a smaller inlet we could get the best of both worlds with more boost and torque down low without "over" boosting up top?

I am asking as a prospective customer of one of the rotrex kits, not as a fanboi of one of the other options.
