I wasn't asking for them to make a street racing video. Plenty other guys show off their setup in cold too. Just want to see how epic the car drives off the rollers is all. Geesh.

How do you fix the transmission weakness? Shot peen the gears?

Btw, I'm more than fully impressed. Those are incredible numbers for a twin!

With enough weight potentially stripped, I wonder if this has the grunt to pull a wheelie at the drag strip with some radials...

You'd probably need to beef up a lot of parts to pull a wheelie. Transmission, axles, suspension, and a LOT of power.

Edit: a LOT of torque too!

Thankfully LJ has beefed up all of those parts and then some

"We blew the trans up at 700hp. The car has our upgraded rear diff, axles and driveshaft,This car is built for drag racing"

Hmm, drag racing you say? Shorten the gears, fit some crazy drag radials in the back, shed a few (hundred) pounds...and see what kind of numbers this thing will put down at the strip... damn. If it was only warmer

have you guys sleeved the block yet? Pinned it or anything?

"Man, sounds like that turbo came online for 1500 rpm before redline"

On another topic, call me crazy but wouldn't it be possible to install say, the FBM stage 2 kit, then fab together an STS-like remote rear mounted kit with a small gtx28 for the purpose of bringing down that lag?

STS style kits have relatively poor spool because of the distance exhaust has to travel to the turbo. The complexity would also be horrible. With a drag engine, there are tuning tricks that can spool a turbo, like injecting gas with the exhaust valve open or adding some nitrous. They're not great for reliability, but neither is drag racing.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's not possible to put the turbo right in front of the up pipe right? Because of how low the engine sits?

We can't wait to get cracking on this again. We should have the transmission back in soon I hope.
