random question, how would powdercoating this piece affect the performance? If I shouldn't I won't, but I would like it to either match my purple rims or blue te37s..lol

Would fitment be an issue because of powdercoating? It was with pulleys, which is why I had some anodized. I doubt it, but would you guys be offering anodized pieces as well?

Powder coating won't affect performance much. It will just be more for looks. We are still working out some bugs with these right now. We have tried three different throttle plates, but we are still getting a high idle (around 1400rpm's) and a CEL. Hopefully we can work out the kinks soon and get these out to some people for testing.

This should work similarly to what Hybrid Racing is able to accomplish on the 8th Gen Civic's. J35/37 throttle body plus their 3" intake yielded incredible gains.

Could it be a problem with the idle air control valve? Or is there an iac on these cars?

There is a very small screw that limits the physical throttle plate gear inside the black cover that limits its angle at idle. But it still didn't seem to make any kind of a difference.

Turbo kit and oil pan look nice so far from the posts I have seen, though .. . about this.... I look forward to seeing more on both threads

All Honda throttlebodies are tapered. Good reason. Venturi ftw.

I know, I wish I could waive a magic wand and everything would just be completed! But, one thing at a time. We should be able to get back on this throttle body very soon though.

haha, you're having the same issues we had on 06-11 civic si's with aftermarket throttle bodies.

What kind of sensor measures the throttle position in these? Is it a hall sensor? or something else?

If it is, then the proximity to that black cover from the motorized drive shaft is EXTREMELY important.

Are you getting throttle position errors?

We also had this same issue with the Evo X TB's when we were porting them. I believe the CEL was just a "high idle" code. I don't know what sensor it is to be honest, I will have to ask my R&D guy who has been working on it. I will let you know what I find out.

Ok if it's just high idle it might just need some graphite stuff around the edge where the throttle plate contacts the body to seal a little better.
