Maintaining a water/meth setup is a hassle which I learned the hard way. It also adds a layer of complexity which will destroy your engine if it should ever fail/run out. PM me if you would like to hear more about my experiences with meth injection.
I keep forgetting you have to periodically fill a meth bottle :/

Your right about the injectors though. I just had a bad exp were I upgraded inj and was running riddiculously rich all the time... But that was a very bad tune :/

Talk to your tuner about it, make sure to check if it's fixable before just disabling it all together..

I am. Im connecting to techstream and checking out all the codes and sending them to him. He hasn't responded yet as he dosent work on weekends. Ill se what he says today. I cleared the dct's and they havent come back on but mostly the dcts were for low catalytic converter efficiency threshold or something like that. I only have a high flow cat as of now but is behind the sensors.
Another question: is your exhaust developing black soot? Its not too much and i can remove it w my finger. Im guessing this is due to removing the cats? Even though i installed a high flow cat? According to my aem failsafe im never running rich (mid 14's constantly even when in WOT) so i dont get it. Sorry for the newbiness. This is my first turboed car

Usually the cat issue threshold will come back after 200 miles or so it seemed for me when I ran catless headers before turbo setup, now with turbo setup and proper tune I have no CEL at all and about 500 miles on it fully catless. Do you mean your hi flow cat is after the sensors? if so then you might just need to have the tuner disable the codes, having the hi flow cat without the sensors hooked up to it or after it doesn't make much sense unless you really dislike the smell. Black soot is normal for an exhaust to my knowledge.

Well, afaik sensors were not welded to the perrin frontpipe and all sensors bungs were welded to testpipe including wideband. Ill have to ask... Yes I HATE the smell. Had catless acura before this and this was one of the strong excuses for getting rid of it lol.

I think I'd stop going WOT. Mid 14s is ok when you're at partial throttle and cruising on the highway. Mid 14s at WOT is one of the faster ways to ruin a perfectly functioning engine.

Hey,

I'm olso going to install Greddy kit soon, and want to complete the exhaust before it. I have 3" resonated Perrin catback, so want to continue 3" for front pipe and over pipe too for best flow. Looking for catted and resonated if possible for minimum loudness but can not find any other than Nameless.
I see that OP is mentioning Perrin front pipe, I can not see Perrin front pipe at sale, i guess they are not producing it anymore, too bad.

Greddy instructions say that their downpipe is 60mm which is less than 2,5" but i might be wrong. What would you suggest me to do? Any ideas about Nameless?

Perrin quit selling their 3" and 2.5" front pipe, I believe this was due to them not wanting to deal with emmissions/cats.

The 3" overpipe was also discontinued as it was causing many fitment issues with the subframe. Some used washers to lower the subframe.

Ultimate-Racing has a 2.75" combo.
MAPerformance has a catless 3" front pipe.
AVO has a 3" front pipe but, you have to buy it in a kit with their turbo parts exhaust components.

Also Full-Blown offer a full 3" setup/ send a PM to LJ on here and ask if you can buy the front pipe seperately...

Thank you for response.
It seems Ultimate racing and MAperformance only have catless, i need cat, and resonator.
I will need to talk with my shop about AVO and FBM.
Any suggestions how to link up with Greddy test pipe? i guess it is 50 or 60mm.

Send a message via AIM to King Tut
If your downpipe is only 2.5", then I would go with a 2.5" over pipe and then transition to 3" at the front pipe. Even getting a 2.5" over pipe to fit can be difficult.
