GReddy Turbo Kit Downpipe Problem

My installer called me and told me that they ad finally pieced everything together BUT the downpipe supposedly does not match the perrin overpipe (also have perrin Frontpipe) that I also had installed. He wants to modify the downpipe to match it correctly! Anybody here have a similar problem? I was so excited that I was finally picking it up today after 2 weeks of agony :mad0260:

Modifying the Downpipe is not a big deal. If they need to do it, just let them. I have the same issue with AVO turbo kit and had to actually dent the Overpipe for it to clear the frame because the AVO downpipe did not mate to the OP location (I know of a few others who had the same issue with OP not clearing the frame didn't matter if it was stock OP or aftermarket).

IF you really want to press the issue, contact Greddy and see if they send you a brand new DP.

I feel your pain.

My tuner is installing an FB turbo kit and other parts, and tuning my car. Told me Maybe 2 weeks tops. I rented a car for this.

Day 1, mechanic dropped an engine on his foot, 2 or 3 days waisted. Waiting on the Nameless over/frontpipe, when it came in, it was the wrong part. Nameless sent the correct part out immediately, but it's going on a month now with the holidays and all.

Hopefully everything else will go smoothly for both of us!

Well we did a prelim dyno on a mustang dyno, and pulled 225 whp which is more or less what GReddy advertises for the kit. Ill let u know when i drive it!

We have sold and installed several Greddy turbo kits with varying overpipes and not had any issues with fitment.

Hmn... Supposedly the way it fit it made the Perrin OP rub on the car's frame... Btw, how much HP are you getting from these kits? I have 2.5 inch exhasut from the op down and on a mistang dyno (7psi 91 oct) what i got was 225.... A bit heart broken. I know its a heartbreaker dyno but 225 is ugly. Heres the graph they got (tuned by them)Attachment 61679

Nothing ugly here, 225 is exactly what i would expect from greddy turbo on 7 psi 91 oct and maybe 8-10 hp more on 93. Torque curve is very nice. Greddy kit is for driveability, not fancy dyno numbers.

^ what he said, I got my car back today and made 271 around 11 PSI on pump, same exhaust size mods but added fuel pump and injectors. stock frs dynos around 155.
