Not bad. I'm just trying to get an idea of when they'll have my EL header/front pipe/over pipe done. It's been almost 6 weeks.

They're probably making sure it gets done right and with the holidays, that sounds about right. Hang in there man, they'll make sure you're taken care of.

I ordered my UEL on 11/08 and haven't gotten it yet. Just a point of reference.

Yeah, a lot of us in the groupbuy were waiting for a while. Trust me, it will be worth it. The JDL UEL made my car a TON more exciting once it was on. The engine will love you more for it.

Just installed the headers! They sound great! I just have one concern. One of the pipes ever so slightly touches the oil pan. Anyone else have this problem?? If so is it something to worry about in the long run?

But hey its a OK except for 1 small problem .. the header touch the oil pan a bit, the remedy for me is to double the right side gasket . and all is well .
A nice piece of art! great sound very addictive, and great power according to my butt dyno , going to the real dyno soon

Did you have any problems with the oil or the pan? With this slight touch?

I've had mine for almost a month and no issues. The contact with the oil pan is very minimal...just a pinhead, but it's been a concern on the back of my mind. I'm not sure if the contact will cause any issues in the long run, but considering how HOT the header gets, I don't want it touching the oil pan. I'm changing the oil this weekend and haven't torqued the bolts a second time after installing the header, so I plan on adding a second gasket on the passenger side also.

This seems to be the quickest and easiest solution to the problem. Do you think that adding a second gasket would cause any leaks in the exhaust.

I would look and see if anyone makes double thick gaskets vice putting two on...I know grimmspeed makes some for the wrx.

I'm positive won't cause any leaks. Had @bprayogo not pioneered this fix, the only thing I would question is if adding the second gasket would be successful to disassociate the two. I can let you know after this weekend just for the additional confirmation.

I got the grimmspeed ones on the car right now. They are only 20% thicker than the OEM ones, the header still slightly touch the oil pan. I will google search other possible makers of gaskets.

Well he said he did, but he never said anything about leaks, so I guess I can assume it works. And please do tell if it works. I don't want a busted oil pan or hot engine oil.

My replacement header didn't have any clearance issues with the oil pan. it was close, but it wasn't touching.
