Hmmm well, I know some dealers are offering Greddy exhausts as a dealer bolt on (charging 2x the cost of it, too). Guess they are breaking the emissions warranty....

Heck, we could always make a meet out of it. Get some people together and install parts on people's cars that want help.
I'm not to flexible,I removed my front seat too do it, not a big deal four bolts and some connectors,....the standard clutch setting is very annoying. On a side not, in a couple months maybe less I should be rolling in a LS powered FRS. Would like to hook up with you guys. Anybody interested in a fully built FA20 ?.....got a ton off stuff parting out with.

I know Pat Lobb (where I get my service done) has done a couple (1 on their Rocket Bunny car), and they haven't said anything to me about my exhaust, and I have a 2ndary cat delete.

Has mine broken the warranty?

Maybe (I don't really know if my exhaust eats the requirements for aftermarket certification under the federal law that mandates this warranty.

Do I care about an emissions warranty?

Not really

What does the warranty say?

These warranty obligations do not apply to failures or noncompliance caused by:
> The use of replacement parts not certified in accordance with aftermarket parts certification regulations.
> The use of replacement parts not equivalent in quality or design to original equipment parts.
Provisions under the “What Is Not Covered” section of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty also apply to this warranty.

The new vehicle warranty says that the use of non Scion approved parts will void the warranty, but who has a list of this stuff????

So this is when skinny(like a twig) friends come in handy. As this would be nothing for them. When I adjusted mine I had to twist and turn my body into a position that did not feel so good. Granted had a removed the seat this would not have been a problem.

On the warranty, these cars have not had any problems with the exhaust that I'm aware of. So the warranty is meh. Now if you install the exhaust yourself and then need to take the car in for warranty work related to the exhaust portion of the car then put your "stock" exhaust back on if you are worried about the warranty.

Yeah, not too worried about it. I have personally never even heard of an emissions warranty

I talked to the service manager at the the Dealer in Temple and he told me that as long as I stick with bolt on parts and don't get super heavy into modding the car... i.e. Turbo kit and such then it would not void my warranty... When he asked what all i planed on doing i told him all i planned on right now was exhaust, intake, header, front pipe. and he said that none of that would void my warranty. Sounds to me like certain dealers don't want to put up with those of us who have modded our cars and that they are just looking for reasons to cancel our warranties.

Big town

Big town shopping center. In Mesquite where the big town mall and bowling used to be, its huge and all torn down and hauled off, a solid massive parking lot with light poles few and far between. Thats right next to my work and it's been where I've been playing and practicing. You cant really be seen from the public roads as well.
