I used to be into Trance and House stuff. My first encounters with EDM were Armin Van Buuren and deadmau5. My tastes have evolved a bit in the past few years. I been listening to more funk/r&b inspired EDM.

Andain - Beautiful things in the OP still one of my fav.

I've Been into EDM since i was a kid, been a djing for the past 13 years now. Started out with mainly Breakbeat (especially Florida Breaks) but also ventured into all sub-genres of House and Trance. I was really into Trance at one point then became House only but over the last few years i eventually settled down into a more relaxing vibe with Deep Tech/House. Although any crossover genres that has any type of deep or chill feel to it (like chillstep etc) i'm into if it sounds good. I moderate over at djforums.com, if you want to explore new tunes our music section is a good place to look.

I still go back over classic choons of all genres from time to time, especially while driving. I've recently gotten back into Breaks, currently trying to finalize a mix. I really should try doing some Trance & Progressive House type stuff again, that might be fun.

This has been heavily discussed in some other threads, but what EQ settings do you guys think best suits this genre in our cars? Or what EQ settings do you use?

I have a subwoofer, but my recommendation is treble +1 and bass at zero. I'd also recommend a quality subwoofer and amp setup, our stock speakers are really good, as long as you aren't overdriving the door speakers. My current setup is a 10" Alpine Type E in a hatchback box (fits perfectly) with a RMS matched amp (peak power doesn't matter).
