I agree, with your 'less than logical' statement also - don't even get me started on California's bogus traffic laws -_______- lol
Thanks for this info man. I wish I could "Thank" your post but for some reason I have no thanks button

Quick question, that is moderately on topic (I hope, if not, sorry), for someone who has never swapped out an exhaust system at all, how hard is a catback install? Is it something I could 'tutorial' my way through?

I'm not sure what the invidia sounds like. I have not heard very many exhaust systems here as everyone in Dallas seems to have bone stock cars Anyways I'll try to get a video up when I can.

I've had the quiet exhaust on for 2 months and it looks brand new still so I'm confident it will not crack over 4 months. I was told by the owner he's been in business for 18 years.

I have friends that have their exhaust for e46 & e9X m3 for years with no issues.

Probably one of the easiest modifications you can do to your car. If you know how to put a car on jack stands, use a ratchet and wrench, then you're good to go.

It took me 10 minutes to install.

After you reach a certain amount of posts to threads you can begin thanking.

- In my opinion, it is pretty simple to do, but can be a little frustrating (especially if you do not have the proper tools/equipment). Which catback were you thinking?
- I would suggest at least buying a pair of 8 inch ramps, as the OP did, so that you can back up on to them and get some secure height to work under the car. You can pick up a pair at harbor freight for around $35.
- The actual installation is simple, but removing the stock muffler from its hangers can be a bit of a pain, but you can do it just takes some grip.
- Lastly, if you want to look underneath your car to familiarize yourself visually with the exhaust system that could help. Just seeing exhausts in person helps anyone understand better. Here is a layout also,

I think I can manage those things

Not sure which catback yet, to be honest. I need to do some more research on what they sound like on stock headers.

Ya, I definitely need to pick up some ramps, thanks for the recommendation on harbor freight, I'll definitely be checking that out.

I'm fairly familiar with the basics of it all, my brother and dad are pretty big gear heads, I've just not delved personally into the world yet. But I'm p retty excited to learn, just hopefully don't learn too much the hard way.

Thanks guys for all your input.

Still that doesnt answer my question though.

Do you mind testing it with a magnet and tell me if it sticks or not. i like it and the price is good however i am a bit concerned about the quality.

I would but I don't have a magnet lol, but I'll be happy to ask what kind of material they use when I see them. Or feel free to send them an email for the best response.

I've reviewed an exhaust I purchased and happy with. I don't work for their company! lol although I did ask them to sign up as a vendor they said they don't have time to post on forums as they deal with many makes and models.

So I installed mine today, it's so quiet...almost stock. Idk if its me or not, I may order an over pipe and front pipe soon.

Damn, very tempted to order but just sucks there's no warranty. MPI Jack, I'm in Tampa. Maybe you wouldn't mind me passing by your shop one of these days and checking out the exhaust. I head out to Miami every couple of months
