It looks to me like the shroud will space the fans back a bit compared to their radiator-only mounting positions.
I have the larger Robispec radiator, and now, one of the fans has maybe 1mm clearance between the fan and the downtube with my FB stage 1 turbo kit. Not enough room to run the shroud as things sit presently. There's a few points with this kit where things are dangerously (IMO) close to the downtube. The lines to the turbo, the fans, and intake tube all run very close to the downtube. I'm planning on wrapping these parts with that gold heat shield stuff, as well as dealing with the engine bay heat with fender garnish vents, and possibly vented hood. We're going to check the heat and see before I cut the front mouthpiece from the grill area. The crashbar and opened up grill will be a later project, after I deal with exhausting the engine bay heat.. |

I have the VS hood installed on my car and can easily see how well the heat dissipates through the vent. My turbo kit (Treadstone) is top-mounted like the FBM kit and the turbo sits directly under the vent. I also have a Koyo radiator I'll be installing, along with the Forester OEM oil cooler.

The fans that we provide flows 1150cfm
Spal fans depending on thickness will flow 1300cfm and up. We have a few on order to see which ones will work. We will also will be testings the fans that we provide with the shroud as well. |

I know it might be a little bit of work but could we possibly find a way to move the radiator a little more forward? We might need to use different radiator tubes but if we can gain a few inches more of clearance that could really help combat some of the direct radiant heat. |

I'm almost positive it's backwards, towards the engine, which pushes the fans back towards the downpipe. On my car, the backside of one of the fan motors is 1mm from the downpipe. No room at all, and I expect the fan to get melted by the downpipe. I'm going to wrap the downpipe with that gold shielding material, and slip a piece of heat shield material between the fan motor and downpipe and hopefully that will help. |

You can't wrap the downpipe in gold shielding material. The gold material is for protecting things from the heat not the thing producing the heat. Get a good header wrap and wrap the downpipe and then put the gold shielding on the intake pipe. Or between the wrapped downpipe and fans.

Is it limited by the body and brackets or by the tubing to the radiator? If I remember correctly besides the location of the brackets the area seemed pretty open and it looked like at least an inch or two until you would hit the intercooler.
