For sure dude; when I finally do get my exhaust - along with whatever type of forced induction I decide on, I sure in-the-hell don't want that "FART CAN" sound.

@husker741 right...sure, you could easily say that with regard to any car above or below $30k - my point is that the OP was focusing on sound so it doesn't make much sense to spend $1.5k plus, for sound, hence "I want that deep rumble sound". If he is looking for more than just that, different story, different response but not the case.
I didn't really care about cost too much within reason, I just wanted a deep rumble. Any performance increases I MAY have gained were not a selling point. A muffler delete will increase the volume of the exhaust, but it has a little too much pop for my tastes. A full catback with muffler and a UEL header will give a nice deep rumble without the poppiness of a muffler delete. To some, that's worth the $1,500+. Different strokes for different folks!

It's rather a bit expensive catback, but I like my M7 catback.

Thanks guys for all the responses. Wasn't expecting so many in such a short period of time!

As some have pointed out, rumble is all I'm looking for. I'm quite happy with the way the stock exhaust pipes look.

I know it sounds ridiculous, but my budget was no more than $200 (including labour), what could I possibly do to get a louder rumble?

You're joking right?
In Australia, $200 including labour will get you NOTHING that will give you a louder rumble.

200 won't get you anything. Even if you found a used header, you'll still be spending about 600 after installation

LOL in a sense RedBRZ has a point. No matter what, it's still a 4 cyl. It's never gonna have a hugely deep rumble. V8's 10's 12's rumble.

I find the louder the exhaust is the more clear it is its just a tiny sub-200hp engine (this doesn't apply to just the twins and isn't a knock on them, it just is what it is). As the tiny 4 exhaust gets louder it starts to just sound like an angry bee in a coffee can - no matter how high quality the parts are.

No offense meant to John, it's all what you like, but I think his various setups exemplify this. They get louder and louder, but they get more "tinny" sounding and more hollow. There's just not that much exhaust being produced. It's got a rock rattling in a pipe sound, not a low deep constant rumble like a 5.0 v8.

I think some people confuse loud for rumble. Snipers' sounds pretty good, and doesn't seem like it'd have too much drone, but its still just "louder" not a setup with particularly more "rumble."

When it comes to big rumble (like a mustang), there's just no replacement for displacement.

Just my .02 from modding cars with varying engine sizes.
